Dunmore Inn

The room was newly remodeled and very comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations on restaurants, inexpensive for our 1 night stay. I would go back if in the Scranton area and would highly recommend.

This inn was exactly what I had expected from the online description. The owner was gracious and attentive, and my room was freshly remodeled and very nice. The bed was comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. I liked that I could park right by the door to my room, made it very easy to bring stuff in.

This was a great stay. The room was small but but had refrigerator & microwave & hair dryer. The owners have done a great job renovating it! The price was fair and the owner was so very nice and personable! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. Only a couple of things, maybe a table lamp on the end table to watch tv and maybe a hook in the bathroom for the hand towel. Otherwise, good stay!

Don't fall for their scam. They over charge and discriminate. She had no problem asking me for $50 up front as a cash security deposit and even though I think that's very strange for a legitimate business I provided her the $50. She then canceled my complete trip when I asked for a receipt and she told me to leave. This exact situation happened to me at another local hotel in a neighboring county and the cops were called and they informed us that there was the current investigation and apologized for it happening. I have not stayed at that hotel since that day but I did stay at the hotel for 20 years prior. I have a feeling there is a correlation between these two hotels because this operation that they run is exactly the same and I'm not sure it's legal but it's definitely not customer friendly and it's very discriminatory so I will follow up with a lawyer this time. I'll continue to update the review as things move forward so this does not happen to anybody else ever especially those with disabilities.

What a great little surprise! From the outside, looks like an older 50’s style motel. On the inside, fully renovated and super clean! Great bed; nice linens and updated everything. Friendly staff! Would stay here again in a minute!

Summer of 2021, driving home from MA, for some crazy reason, all other hotels were $200+, including Comfort Inn! I was driving late at night and was considering sleeping in my car but found this gem of a property, for half the price of the other hotels/motels. Very "small motel" looking from the outside, but the front desk was VERY helpful, including staying until 1am or so, and the room looked like it was from a top notch hotel, like a Sheraton, Hyatt, etc. Nicely appointed, refrig worked well (froze the things I put in the small freezer and nothing more). Bathroom was nice, though not as posh as a fancy hotel, but I stayed for half the price. Bed was very nice and comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. Just what I needed! Thanks Dunmore Inn!
