Great hotel which gives you an outback feeling. Excellent restaurants and spacious rooms. And Kangaroos and Wallabies hopping around nearby.

It's so scary... there are a bunch of flying insects at night. So disgusting...not recommended for people with a fear of insects. I don’t know if it’s because of the season…otherwise it would be nice to check in during the day at first…

We enjoyed our stay at the RMC - much of this was down to the staff, and we mean all the staff, who were attentive, chatty and efficient. They’re a real credit to the hotel. We had two nice dinners in the Parker Street restaurant, though the menu didn’t really change over the two days. Our room was clean and modern and the view of Mount Sturgeon was excellent, though the room (particularly the bathroom) was fairly functional, rather than sumptuous. My main issue, which is why it doesn’t get 5 stars is because breakfast was basically some granola and Greek yogurt in the mini-bar in the room. When you pride yourself on your restaurant, this is a real omission. I get that staffing at the moment is difficult (I presume this is the reason for it), but it is a big opportunity missed.

We stayed at the Royal Mail Hotel and their accommodation was ideal - very spacious cabin with quality breakfast provisions. We enjoyed an a la carte meal at The Parker Project one night and an evening snack another (following a Grampians drive and lunch in Halls Gap). Staff were extremely helpful and ambience was excellent.

Top class food and accommodation in a great region of Victoria. Appreciate the connection between the kitchen garden and the food in the restaurants.
