Dunhuang Hotels with Gym

I was very fortunate to stay at Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. It was the most satisfying stay during my trip. I originally booked another hotel. When I passed by Sunshine Shazhou Hotel, the hotel building area was quite spectacular in the urban area. I personally felt that it was the largest hotel and the architectural style had a unique style of the Western Regions. As soon as I entered the hotel parking lot, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff. Xiao Qiao, the front desk of the hotel, introduced the details of the hotel very professionally and took us to see the room. Xiao Qiao's professional service was recognized by my husband and wife. We simply refunded the original hotel and chose Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. When we checked in, the hotel front desk also upgraded our room. Xiao Qiao personally helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The relevant information of tourist attractions and food streets and precautions during the trip were introduced in detail! During the check-in process, they will appear as soon as we need help. The just-right service made us feel what it means to be at home! Because of Xiao Qiao's impeccable service, our trip to Dunhuang has added a touch of color. Overall, Sunshine Shazhou Hotel is indeed a good choice. At the same price, this is definitely your best choice for a trip to Dunhuang. Here is a little suggestion: The hotel can make some special power cards, otherwise the power card and room card will be confused and it will be very troublesome to take the wrong card at breakfast!

When we arrived at 930pm there was loud construction next door and didn't stop till after 1230am both on the first night and 3rd night. Very loud and difficult to sleep. Room was ok but bed was very hard like sleeping on wood. Breakfast was Chinese breakfast and just mediocre. Hotel advertised a gym , spa and sauna. Gym was 2 small machines stuck in the corner of the 2nd floor out in the open. I could not find the spa or sauna so I asked the front desk and was told ”no have”. I discovered later the next night the spa is outside of the hotel and not affiliated with the hotel. Won't stay here again

Highly recommended to everyone. We traveled to Dun Huang in early May (2024), and we feel grateful for all the kindness we got here. The hotel is very clean, and the service is super accommodating. They provide free pick-up from airport (or train station), so all you need is to call them one day ahead (the receptionist can speak English if you don't speak Chinese). Everyone will smile at you and ask what they can help you when we stay there. The location is brilliant too. It is like 1000 meters away from Ming Sha mountain, and you can actually see the sand mountain when you have breakfast at the hotel (it is free too). We will definitely stay here again when we visit Dun Huang next time.

The unexpected check-in experience started from the pick-up at the station. The hotel's pick-up service was very considerate, and the driver was professional and enthusiastic. The hotel check-in was also very professional. Entering the room, there is a foot bath bucket placed, and the hotel also has a bathtub. The overall decoration of the room is relatively old, and the hotel is relatively large, with about 100 single-story rooms. There is still a distance from the room to the elevator. The service staff are very enthusiastic and will help answer questions and deliver meals to the room

Accommodation in Dunhuang is relatively cheap in the off-season, and the service is also relatively good. The hotel is not far from Mingsha Mountain and is also relatively close to the Dunhuang Night Market. This hotel has airport pick-up service, which is very good. I booked it for one day and directly renewed it for 2 days. The hotel is clean and hygienic, so I won't say much about it. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the toilet is electric, and the breakfast is very rich and superb.

I always stay at this hotel when I come to Dunhuang. It is convenient for transportation and you can walk to the Dunhuang Night Market. The service attitude is also very good. It is worth recommending.

It is a wise choice to stay at Tianhe Hotel when you come to Dunhuang! It is close to the city center, quiet in the bustling city, and a flying statue stands in the middle of the magnificent lobby. The room is also large and clean, and a foot bath bag is provided every day. The buffet breakfast starts at 7:30, which is very rich, with vegetables, fruits and special noodles. The price is really beautiful when you come to stay in the off-season, and the service is super considerate. Thank you very much to Tian Xiaozhuan, the waiter in charge of our floor. He was afraid that we were not used to the dry climate here, so he gave us many bottles of mineral water every day, and asked if it was enough. He replenished anything that was missing quickly and enthusiastically. The hotel yard is super large, and it is also convenient to park by car. It is also great to watch the stars in the yard at night.

It can be said that it is the hotel with the best overall experience of staying in this year. The trip to Dunhuang was delayed for a week due to the epidemic, and finally took place at the end of August. Recently, Dunhuang needs 24-hour nucleic acid to enter the scenic spot. There is a nucleic acid site next to the hotel. It only takes two or three minutes to walk. It does not delay at all after breakfast and nucleic acid every morning. The second is the hardware of the hotel. Although the equipment of the old hotel is not very modern, the lobby, boutiques, breakfast, closed parking lot, everything you need is there. The space in the room is just right, there is no fault or damage, and the linen is clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel has its own yard, and it is very quiet at night. There are responsible security guards watching the car, so you can rest assured. It is important to praise all hotel staff, including but not limited to the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast restaurant. Ms. Huang and Ms. Yang at the front desk will enthusiastically provide suggestions and answer questions. I can feel that they are really responsible and attentive. When meeting guests in the room cleaning aisle, they will take the initiative to say hello, wait for you to leave before leaving, and ask you enthusiastically if the room needs to be cleaned or replenished. The breakfast configuration is Chinese food, which is exquisite and delicious. The restaurant staff is very polite and unhurried. Really love this hotel! May you do better and better, and all hotel employees are healthy and happy! We are destined to see you again :)

Location is very ideal, along a pleasant Main Street, around 5 to 8 mins walk to night market, yet away from the rowdiness of tourists. Just opposite there are convenience shops, a western bakery (Angelia) and stretch of small restaurants in an alley which are of good quality. Front desk services are fantastic especially helpful for foreigners ( though they don’t speak English- try to use e-translator), regarding local attractions and getting a cab for you if encounter difficulties. They are genuinely helpful to try to overcome your difficulties. Special mention on Ya Jin who even asked her regular taxi driver to accompany us to buy the Mogao Grottoes tickets and arranged for a long distance taxi trip to Liuyuan South Railway station. Wang Na also offered her WeChat contact number if we have difficulties coming back at night. Really warm hospitality. Even the hotel driver who fetched us from the airport was nice(complimentary service). The housekeepers are too hardworking. Only complain I have is the breakfast which served exactly the same thing every morning and of limited choices. Thus Angelia bakery just opposite was really a good alternative.
