Such a beautiful and unique stay. Checked into our beautiful room in the Montana Pullman Carriage, which was absolutely stunning. We relaxed in the lounge (after having lunch in the pub next door ) and enjoyed reading the history of the pullmans only to discover that 3 of the carriages came from near where we live. We had booked our dinner in the dining carriage Princesss Ena and what a fabulous experience that was with fantastic decor and wonderful food and service, almost like stepping into the Orient Express. The staff were amazing especially Kit who had only just started a few days before. The owner was so friendly and the lady who checked us in and served us breakfast was also brilliant. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice provided and we had a bonus of meeting And Peters with the GMTV film crew filming the daily competition. Can’t wait to return

I found this hidden gem to stay and booked to stay with my brother and cousin. The setting is beautiful and the carriages have been beautifully restored. We had drinks on the platform and later ate in the dining carriage. My brother wasn't well so asked if the desserts could be taken back to the carriage. The staff couldn't be more helpful and brought them to us. The respectfully asked if they could come in to lay the dessert tray down. We all had a good night's sleep and had a superb breakfast the following morning in the restored waitingroom. The attentionto detailis great and we had breakfast listening to 1940s music. Well worth a visit.

We visited on the 17th of November and as we half expected the tea room was empty, however despite the fact that we had booked well in advance nothing had been done to provide a comfortable environment for two people in a cold barn like room. The sandwiches had been thawed, just, the scones however had not successfully been microwaved after freezing and were tough, the cake selection was tired. The tea was hot and good quality.

Set in the beautiful location of Petworth village (Also, well worth a visit) this is a hidden gem! We arrived and were greeted with teas, coffees and a delicious homemade victoria sponge that had been made just an hour earlier. Two of us stayed in the railway station and another birthday individual stayed in a train carriage. The rooms were spacious, clean, warm and cosy. The shower was also fantastic. We experienced the fine dining in the carriage Edna. The food was extremely delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the fishcakes, beef wellington and cheese board and would recommend. The carriage had been restored to an excellent standard. The breakfast was equally delicious and of a very high standard with fresh fruit and pastries to start. If you like something a little more special, then this place is for you. Not only for the train fanatics!

This is an amazing place - I organised a birthday treat with tea and cake on arrival, then a wonderful evening meal and overnight stay. The welcome could not have been better, the rooms nicely decorated and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious- highly recommend

We celebrated our anniversary here with a 2 night weekend break. We stayed in a king-size Pullman carriage room, this was absolutely fabulous. From the moment we arrived we had the warmest welcome and we were shown to our carriage. All the staff were so lovely and wanted us to enjoy our time there. The carriages are beautiful and still have most of the original Pullman carriage features, with the addition of a large bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath. We had breakfast in the old waiting room, which is a stunning room. And had a special dinner on board Princess Ena, their Pullman dining car. This is a gorgeous experience and the food was excellent. I was so excited about our visit and I was not disappointed, there is so much history here and if you are looking for a quirky and unique get away location this is perfect. They also gave us details for an off road walking route to Petworth, which we did. If you enjoy a good walk and don't mind it a bit muddy (it had been raining) this is a great walk past the historic Coultershaw mill and through local fields.

We chose the old railway station, to celebrate our wedding anniversary after seeing this advertised on Michael Portillo’s railway show. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well stocked. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the Princess Ena Pullman coach. On the 1st evening we dined at Badgers, the pub at the end of the lane, highly recommended. We did feel that for breakfast there should be a proper menu, as it was guesswork what you would get for a continental breakfast, but having said that, it was all very nice. I too found it strange that you had to pay the full price, prior to arrival, as the deposit had already been paid.

Such a lovely experience, food was super too. The carriage was quirky but very comfortable. A gorgeous pub the badgers is just down the road. Visited Petworth house and grounds and Petworth village is accessible from the house. Very interesting and went to cowdray estate on the Sunday.
