Super bad experience in this hotel. When we plan our trip we already know that we will be late checked in. Hence, we called the phone number provided in trip.com, a staff in oyo say couldnt find our booking number, and couldnt transfer us to the lochway hotel number. Then we have to call to trip.com staff to assist us. But then when we arrive the hotel, the staff told us is our fault that we arrive late, and then the room is taken by others. The staff at the hotel tried to search other hotel for us (4 hotel nearby), all with no luck then asked us to find other hotel by ourselves. With all the conversations we have, the hotel staff keep blaming us that we are the one at fault because we late check in. We have no choice to raise the concern to trip.com but in the end we still need to find a place to stay by ourselves. In the end our accommodation is two times the price, and we still unsure how much trip.com gonna compensate us for this super bad experience.

Booked as I had been there about 20yeara before. Sad to see the place so run down. When booking there is a pic of breakfast and it tells u breakfast included its not toast and cornflakes glasses with labels attached to them clearly have never been washed or label would be off the room smells I left the windows open the dust I should of took a photo the wardrobe and drawers were thick with dust. There was hair on the soap in bathroom one of the beds didn’t look clean. I was a half hour early and asked if I could get into room as traveled miles to be charged £15. I will never go back I also don’t recommend. The front door is also locked

Was extremely dubious about staying after reading reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Our room (8) was large, clean and had a kettle with tea, coffee etc provided. It had a lovely refurbished bathroom with a large walk in shower. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was just fine. Tea/coffee and toast were brought to us (all I required) and there was also a selection of cereals and other items available. We were attending a party nearby and the hotel overall met our requirements perfectly.

After reading the review we were a little worried but we decided to go and see the place for ourselves. On arrival the building looked closed with lots of road dust on all the windows but the staff were onside to greet us and were friendly. We arrived early in the afternoon so one 2 of the 4 rooms we had booked were not ready but would be completed in approximately 15 minutes and they were,staff also offered us drinks (tea or coffee) while we waited. We got the keys to the rooms and staff kindly escorted/directed us to the rooms, the room was clean and all the bedding was freshly white and clean also, the room decor was dated with some signs of repairs to the walls (polyfiller), there was plenty of plug sockets to plug in devices, ample storage and a tv which was working perfect. There was also a complimentary continental breakfast with cereal, yoghurt, fruit and toast. Overall a nice experience from a reasonably priced hotel which the owners are currently in the process of repairing and renovating.

We booked through ******* and are hoping for a refund, otherwise we will take it up with visa. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The photos are from the previous owners and do not at all reflect current state of hotel. Bedbugs, mold, filth, just awful. We checked in and didn’t even stay one of our three nights. If we do not get a refund through ******* I will not stop until the owners refund me directly. Truly terrible.
