If you are looking for charming, this hotel has it. Great shower. Air conditioning was not working on a particularly hot weekend so it was tough sleeping. No room service. Great location. Close to restaurants.

Lovely mattresses and bedding, updated bathroom and great view of the lake. A wonderful historic inn with amenities all around. Right on the lake walk and great restaurant Boat House downstairs. A+ visit. It is a little bit spendy but you get what you pay for I guess.

We frequently visit the North Shore in the summer. We always end it with a stay in the Canal park area in Duluth. Fitgers has become our go to location for ending the trip. The service, location and charm makes Fitgers the place to be!

Loved the location & staff was very friendly! The historic aspect of the Inn was amazing & details throughout added to the atmosphere. Room could’ve been cleaner, and it was definitely showing its wear. The Boat House restaurant was fantastic & staff was amazing. Loved the shops & eateries located in the Inn complex. Great views of the lake & walkable to the canal.

The room was spacious and well equipped. Our only complaint was that the draperies were not hung correctly or missing hooks, which takes away from the overall elegant feel of the room. Also, the room was street side, so functioning draperies is important. Seems like an easy, inexpensive fix that should be done.

Perfect location, views of lake superior, middle point to canal park on one side and local shops/restaurants on the other. Worth at least 2 night stay to experience all that, in addition to the mini village of restaurants and shops in the Fitger's complex! Amazing atmosphere in the Hotel itself. Friendly staff! Boathouse food was great, Pub food was great! Shops offer one of a kind items!
