The Royal Oak Duddington

Had a fabulous stay at this great Country Pub. Staff were excellent, room perfect and food excellent. The Chef created some food food for dinner and we looked after by the great staff . I also left my watch and after a phone call he Rebecca agreed to post it on to my home address. Again great job first class service in a wonderful location.

Recently stayed at this fabulous pub. We had fabulous experience. The owner Emma and her staff were simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff and other guests, locals could not have been more friendly. The food was exquisite. The evening meal and breakfast was not only good value for money but was fantastic. We were so impressed we are returning in two weeks time. If you are looking for a country pub with character, nice rooms, lovely food and staff that are prepared to go the extra mile then this is the place to visit.

Single night stay, but will certainly revisit. Room small but clean and comfortable. All food excellent. All staff were brilliant. Friendly and helpful. Located on a busy road, but the village is a delight to explore. Recommend a walk to the village church. Only the second village we have visited that had no street lighting. Nothing to spoil the feel of an earlier age.

This meal was appalling. So disappointed. Steak pie with the consistency of cat food, veg so al dente it was straight from the freezer bag. Microwave agogo. Should have complained. Needed a meal at home afterwards !
