Super cute boutique hotel in the Cotswolds that recently reopened/was remodeled. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were booked for the weekend. Would definitely return here to stay again. One thing that was unexpected was the size of the “king” bed which was smaller than a US king, it was more like a queen size.

Have just returned from a one night stay. The main suite was beautiful and came with some lovely touches. It was also very clean throughout. However.. our food was really not good. I ended up not eating as my fishcake was undercooked and had obviously just come out of the freezer. My husband had to send the gravy back because it was basically just the cooking fat with nothing else in it. This was commented on by the next door couple too. When we complained to the manager he stated that this was the receipe used throughout the company! He didn’t offer another meal or any solution for my meal he just took it off the bill. The windows in the restaurant were open and the road noise was very noticable. The main suite cost £500 and we used a Mr anc Mrs Smith voucher we were gifted to celebrate our 20th anniversary so we are so disappointed. Some of the staff could really do with some customer service training, our welcome and waiter service was seriously lacking.

A charming village hotel and pub.
An absolutely lovely property in a pretty country location. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The bed was incredibly comfortable which s a bonus when you are jet lagged. Our room overlooked the brook and fields and was quite quiet despite a large gathering taking place in the function rooms.

Excellent Place, we booked for breakfast but a visit for a midweek meal, or Sunday lunch will soon be on the cards. I had full English and my wife had scrambled eggs on toast. The best coffee we have had for ages. Great Service and set by a small brook. Lovely outside area too.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at Wild Thyme and Honey with our 12 week old baby. It was our second time staying here and we have had a wonderful stay both times. Some of the stand out parts of the stay were: - we ate at the restaurant all nights and had wonderful service from the lovely Paula. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, always anticipating whether we needed another drink or sauces etc. The food was lovely and the selection of drinks was great. - the hotel cleaning team are fantastic. The room was always flawless. We asked for a cot to be provided for the baby, and it was a good travel cot that was ready and waiting in the room when we arrived. She slept really well each night. - we appreciated the little touches like fresh milk being left on the doorstep each day. It's a little thing but so appreciated!

Lovely staff (except for the grumpy receptionist who served us at 7.30 in the morning at checkout) cleaners weren’t so great, the room was good when we got there but the in between cleans weren’t the best. Booked a suite but the room wasn’t the size of a suite at all, and didn’t have the facilities that a normal suite would so don’t pay the additional. Beds were hard so super uncomfy for my back. A little on the expensive side, paid £1350 for 3 nights. Food was nice, albeit on the expensive side - £5.50 for a tomato salad, and that was literally 1 tomato! They have outside pods but charge you £50 if you want to sit in them. Also charge additional fees for earlier check ins. I wouldn’t persuade you not to go, it’s a nice place, just be ready for inflated prices which I think is because there isn’t anywhere that close where you can go to instead if you didn’t want to drive.

We stayed at the hotel on the 2nd of July and it was fabulous. Beautiful room gorgeous location, we didn't get to eat in the outside restaurant but decided to travel back up from Wales on the 10th of July for my sons birthday who lives locally. Wow did not disappoint food spectacular 🙌 to the chef , Beautiful setting so pretty and great vibe . Our evening was made very special because of the incredible service we received, nothing was to much trouble very friendly professional team . I do have to mention 2 ladies Heidi & Paula. Big thank u to Heidi who was so helpful and a credit to wild thyme & honey Heidi without a doubt turned a good experience into a exceptional one and we will be returning. Thank you for making my sons birthday and our long journey special . Sarah & Andrew
