Super cute boutique hotel in the Cotswolds that recently reopened/was remodeled. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were booked for the weekend. Would definitely return here to stay again. One thing that was unexpected was the size of the “king” bed which was smaller than a US king, it was more like a queen size.

Lovely staff (except for the grumpy receptionist who served us at 7.30 in the morning at checkout) cleaners weren’t so great, the room was good when we got there but the in between cleans weren’t the best. Booked a suite but the room wasn’t the size of a suite at all, and didn’t have the facilities that a normal suite would so don’t pay the additional. Beds were hard so super uncomfy for my back. A little on the expensive side, paid £1350 for 3 nights. Food was nice, albeit on the expensive side - £5.50 for a tomato salad, and that was literally 1 tomato! They have outside pods but charge you £50 if you want to sit in them. Also charge additional fees for earlier check ins. I wouldn’t persuade you not to go, it’s a nice place, just be ready for inflated prices which I think is because there isn’t anywhere that close where you can go to instead if you didn’t want to drive.

We stayed at the hotel on the 2nd of July and it was fabulous. Beautiful room gorgeous location, we didn't get to eat in the outside restaurant but decided to travel back up from Wales on the 10th of July for my sons birthday who lives locally. Wow did not disappoint food spectacular 🙌 to the chef , Beautiful setting so pretty and great vibe . Our evening was made very special because of the incredible service we received, nothing was to much trouble very friendly professional team . I do have to mention 2 ladies Heidi & Paula. Big thank u to Heidi who was so helpful and a credit to wild thyme & honey Heidi without a doubt turned a good experience into a exceptional one and we will be returning. Thank you for making my sons birthday and our long journey special . Sarah & Andrew

The service at the Wild Thyme and Honey hotel was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A special mention for Paula the restaurant manager at the crown, she really made our evening and experience, one we won’t forget. Breakfast is also amazing! We will be back!

This is not a country side retreat, this is a noise pub with some rooms over it. The place is not a cottage , has no garden , no place to relax , but it’s a restaurant for everyone from outside and the pub very very noisy, furthermore is not in the country side but is located in a traffic street and with open windows in the rooms you hear people speak out loud , the cars , and the traffic. I was hoping to have a relaxing day but was impossible.

The whole hotel is great, and a serious shout out to Paula the waitress, who has been excellent service, and very tentative with my niece and whole family! Couldnt recommend more and would definetly ask to speak to Paula, she has a great character, and to mention the hotel honestly great, one of the best boutique hotels I’ve stopped in.

Given the reviews I was expecting far more than I received ! The hotel and surroundings were excellent, the evening meal and breakfast were lovely but sadly the whole experience was marred by the appalling service ! We were made to feel like an inconvenience at every opportunity by the staff. Good service is relatively cheap but gives a lasting impression. A shame really.

I had an ok experience. The place is charming and cosy. Bedrooms is a little smaller than I think, I choose it on Booking and picture I saw seem to be a lot bigger bedroom. We came over to rest, it is strange check in at 4 pm and check out at 11 am. Restaurant is ok, t recommend the curry that was fantastic! And thanks to Paula, a fantastic lady that works ate the restaurant made all the difference.! It’s a good place! A bit expensive for what it is.
