It is a lovely traditional country inn . Nicky the landlady is great as are her staff … beer is Timothy Taylor's and well kept and food above pub grub standard with a good choice of dishes . Breakfast was also top drawervDog friendly which is good for us and would defo go again

We visited as couples for a Sunday Lunch expecting a decent lunch. Oh to be disappointed. The roasts were terrible. Turkey roast with no pigs in blankets and Raw Stuffing balls that had been grilled on the outside briefly, far too many herbs in the Gravy....WHY? Leave the Gravy alone. All the vegetables were bland and underseasoned and not too warm. We definitely will not be back or be recommended this place to anyone a basic Roast ruined

Fantastic, local pub. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We turned up as a group, this was not a problem. The fire was lit and even though the kitchen was closed because we were late they made sure we were fed. Will be returning soon.

Dog friendly stay with rooms out the back separated from the pub. Very friendly staff and good food provided for breakfast. Well cared for and looked after when it came to serving. Shame about the room. Black mould on every wall and the bed felt damp and had some mould on it too! Not to mention the hair in the bed. The shower overflowed everywhere when used. Yea and coffee provided with the kettle. Shame about the mould, hair and broken shower drain. Loved that it was dog friendly! However I wasn’t too sure how I felt about hearing the dogs bark coming from the kitchen.

Really good pub witha seperate block of rooms at the back, good honest wholesome food, great breakfast. Had a peaceful nights sleep, lovely sunny garden to sit in. Set in small country village within easy reach of bustling Somerset towns. Definitely visit again..

Stayed for just one night, rooms are a single story annex with a covered walkway. Room was good size, well furnished, comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of warmth for a cold and wet January day. A warm ensuite with bath and shower, lovely hot water. Dinner that evening was cooked to order, best if you have a good appetite. Breakfast also cooked to order and again generous portions. Owner and staff very friendly. Bar is popular, a good sign. Free WiFi and it worked. All in all a good place to stay. A bit remote but believe the post code and Sat Nav.

Lovely friendly overnight stay on the way to Cornwall. Beautiful area, very peaceful. Very dog friendly inn with an enclosed garden and a field 5 mins walk away! Food in the bar was home made, very good and tasty. The town only 7 mins drive with many amenities

Rooms were spacious & clean, Breakfast included in the price of the room (they also accommodate for Vegans), pub food was wonderful and a great price too. Car Park opposite the main building. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

Apart from the road ahead closed and deviation we managed to find the New Inn ! So glad we found it because the food was good, the service first class as was the ambience AND was dog friendly. Lovely village too.
