Hampton Inn & Suites Dothan

It is clean & very comfortable & worth the room rates. Hopefully guests will be respectful & keep it nice! The rooms are spacious & well appointed.

I was hoping to have a flawless experience after previously checking out of a different Hampton and having a horrible experience. I had to do 2 separate reservations because I ended up extending my stay. For both check-ins I had to ask for the water that comes with being Hilton Honors. Brooke was happy to provide them. But the guy who did my check-in the next day was not pleasant at all and acted like he did not want to provide them. Naturally I wipe down/disinfect all my hotel rooms after checking in, and at first glance everything looked perfect. But when I started disinfecting the bathroom it seemed like the house keeper had forgot to clean it. The bathroom floor and shower was dirty and full of hair. After I finished cleaning it myself I noticed that dirty towels were also left in the bathroom. I told Brooke what was going on and sent her pictures. She apologized and did offer to come and clean it. But I had already cleaned it with my own cleaning supplies and unpacked all my belongings. I was exhausted from traveling all day and was just ready to rest. I asked for fresh towels as the ones in my room were dirty and she let me know that she was the only staff member working and she would bring some when she could. I ended up going to get them myself because I couldn’t wait for a shower. The pool was also dirty and full of leaves both days I went down for a swim. I really wish I could give a better rating because Brooke and the other staff were so kind. But the general manager was rude and somewhat aggressive when I tried to explain everything that was going on at checkout and she sent me away with no resolution.

Elevator went out. Being on the third floor made it a hassle. Lots of noise from the road.

Nicely clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Breakfast typical for a Hampton Inn but sadly only decaf and light brewed coffee - no dark brewed. Very clean. Honors member bonus of free bottled water is a plus. Smooth check in and check out on the Hilton app.

This hotel was clean and quiet. I had a really good night's sleep. The breakfast was fairly typical of a Hampton Inn. I would not hesitate to stay here again. On the downside, the late evening clerk at check-in was not very welcoming or friendly. The key cards he gave me did not work for my room. I came back to get them reprogrammed, and they still didn't work. For kicks, I waved the key across the sensor for the room across the hall, and GREEN LIGHT, it unlocked it, despite me giving him my correct room number twice. I gave up for the night, used my phone app to get into my room, and came back the next morning to get a new key card. The rest of the staff was good, but that guy needs some training or needs a job where people will not be interrupting him with silly requests like "room keys."
