roaches! beware …. after a long drive, we walk in to see this giant roach on the floor in the bathroom i couldn’t sleep after that and the floor was wet with what smelled like urine. gross !!!

This hotel appeared ok upon arrival but it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had in a hotel. Lady at front was nice and lobby appeared okay. When we entered our room, it had an overwhelming smell of curry and a disgusting fridge that had been put in the room. We could not get the smell to go away and it kept us up all night. The fan did not work well to blow any of the air around. Then at four in the morning, we realized the train tracks were about 20 feet from our window And it sound like the trains were coupling outside of the window. It was awful. We got no sleep. We walked down to see if there was coffee available, and the breakfast was packed with little kids. We did not eat there. We just wanted somewhere to sleep in our drive and totally regret our choice. When we checked out, they didn’t even ask us how our day was. I just wanted to get out of there.

Close to Kings Dominion
5 min from Kings Dominion. So convenient to park, gas and food. The room was good, but o did find someone’s dock on the floor and some hairs in the bathroom. I come with cleaning supplies anyway no matter where I stay.

Beds not comfortable, terrible smell through hotel from lobby, elevators, stairs and room; maybe the carpet? Idk but not pleasant. Bathroom fixtures were not secured, faucet was all over the place and the toilet paper roll could barely hold itself up, it wasnt holding TP. There was a biker group staying there at the same time we were. Large group of large men stayed swarmed outside the front door congregating. Bikes were revved at all hours of the night right outside the front door where they also parked. The staff did nothing. But I cant blame them, there was no security and small petite ladies manning the desk alone each night. How are they going to confront them? I doubt anyone had sleep while they were there. Will not stay there again.

The hotel was okay. Bed was fine. Sheets felt weird. Floors couls use a better cleaning. The shower knob wasnt fastened in all the way. The tape used to hold the ac together was hanging off. Holes in the bathroom door. Train right behind building. And the wifi was spotty.
Staff was awesome. They worked with me after i made a mistake and booked the wrong night!!! So appricated them for that, after all it was my mistake!.
Breakfast was good. Great options. Eggs were delicious! Cook does a wonderful job.
Would i stay here Gain? Um maybe... i would look Roubd for options for sure.

My recent stay at the Best Western Doswell Hotel was a mixed bag, and unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed the convenience of its location near Kings Dominion. While the proximity to the theme park is a major draw, the hotel itself left much to be desired.
From the start, there were issues with my reservation. I had called ahead to add my children to the booking, and the person I spoke with assured me it wouldn't be a problem and there would be no extra charge. However, upon check-in, I was surprised to be hit with an additional $20 fee for them. This lack of communication and the unexpected charge was a frustrating start to our trip.
The problems continued inside the room. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud, making it difficult to sleep or even have a conversation. The constant noise was compounded by what sounded like people running either in the halls or in the room above us, adding to the disruptive environment. The Internet service was consistently poor, making it nearly impossible to do anything online. The television was also a constant source of frustration, as the signal kept cutting out and the picture would "cliche," making it unwatchable. To top it off, the bed was far from comfortable, leading to a restless night's sleep.
Throughout our stay, getting fresh towels was a constant hassle. It felt like we were always fighting to get the basic amenities we needed.

We had to wait for rooms to finish being cleaned and when we got into the room the bedding was stai ed and dirty. Also the rug were wet not damp but wet.

By mistake we booked the wrong date, and they told us to cancel to make another one and we did it for a higher price, but they didn't give me my money back even though I cancelled a week before,
