"The hotel room is large and has a microwave! The rooms next to the elevators are very quiet. The breakfast is average, you don’t have to try it! There is a supermarket and a train station downstairs of the hotel, which is very convenient."

Another advantage is that the bus stop for the airport express, which is opposite the railway station on the left hand side is also only a five minute walk. The reception was very helpful and supportive. The room was clean nd quite. Wifi worked well. Behind the hotel are many shops and restaurants in about 10 minutes walk."

"The hotel is very run-down; it's practically in a "war zone," with almost all the houses in the area empty or looking like they've been bombed. The hotel itself is located above a dollar store, which will probably go bankrupt by the time anyone reads this. There's a funeral home right next door, and a couple of kebab shops across the street. A Rewe supermarket isn't far away. The location is quite remote, but if you have a car, it's no problem. Parking costs an extra €5 but is unguarded. The hotel entrance is in the tunnel leading to the parking lot. The lobby looks quite nice, and the service is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is meager but good, with everything you need: rolls, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, etc. However, the coffee is extremely watered down, the hot chocolate is practically undrinkable, and three espressos are just one regular cup of coffee! The rooms are clean but very old-fashioned; the windows aren't airtight and have been patched up with tape (which did work, though); the shower has a rather high step, so if you have trouble climbing (especially getting out carefully!), showering is out of the question. However, the room was very quiet and I felt comfortable; I slept well."

"Hotel Neuhaus is somewhat basic in its furnishings but everything is thoughtfully planned and laid out. For example, there is a chair on the landing between floors. In the lobby, tea and coffe are provided 24 hours a day. There is a rooftop also available where smoking is allowed. I found staff friendly. It is in a residential neighborhood, a 5-10 minute walk from many restaurants and shops on Kaiserstrasse. It is also less than 5 minutes' walk from Dortmund's Orthodox synagogue. The hotel desk is not staffed at night, and you are sent a code for initial entry if you arrive after a certain time, it appears (but check before arriving)."

"The location is pretty far away from the station, countryside, middle of nowhere. Nothing is around. The hotel asked to pay deposit with the credit card 50€, which isn’t said anywhere in description, pretty weird amount. When I didn’t find any slippers and toothbrushes, I went downstairs, the receptionist insisted that I need to look more carefully in the room, so I was just pissed off and didn’t try second time. In the description it is said the garden view, so you can judge the photo what kind of garden this is, plus the beds are super uncomfortable compared with other hotels."

So if you don’t have a car, this place isn’t recommended even though it’s one of the best properties to stay in. They have happy hour (free) for hot chocolate and coffee and that’s very nice. Highly recommend. They also have an AC and heater in the room which is very rare"

What is that guests are treated a little better from Monday to Friday than at weekends when you are happy to find the excellent Berner Müsli at breakfast, but suddenly no longer. At the high quality of the living was as little exposed as at the bathroom, but too small we found it not to find a single bottle of mineral water as a gift of the house. Strong bill, good friends.
