Dreams Dominicus la Romana - All Inclusive

This is a beautiful hotel that truly makes you feel at home, offering a genuine all-inclusive experience where you can enjoy everything. It features a private beach and the opportunity to go diving with their on-site diving school. Everything was perfect overall, though I found the food quality occasionally below my expectations (I have high standards), which is understandable given the five restaurants and the large number of guests. The hospitality of this resort is what truly sets it apart.. it’s clear they genuinely want you to feel at home. A great place to stay!

The hotel was terrific, the people very kind, and the facilities were fabulous for resting and enjoying the beach. Further, as a plus, they have a Scuba Diving Club, which I could arrange for three days of diving from the hotel. We are looking forward to coming back. Carlos A

We loved the resort! The staff exceded our expectations. Everyone is so friendly and polite! We went for our boy’s 3th birthday and everyone who knew about it made his day so special and festive! The resort is beautiful and offers lots of entertainment and delicious food options! The best part is the beach! It has beautiful clear and quiete water like a natural pool! We definitely will be coming back to this resort! Highly recommend!

Honest and true review. Was at Dreams Dominicus from 4th Sept till 18th Sept.2025. We were originally due to stay at Secrets La Romana but was advised by our tour company (TUI) to switch because of ongoing building works. Good points: The beach especially the Priveledge Club section was absolutely stunning with attentive waiting staff and top range drinks like Corona or Heineken in bottles. Also the gardens and grounds are well tendered and kept tidy. Shame they couldn't apply the same enthusiasm towards the rooms. Bad Points: (There are many). 1st the room cleaning was not very good, many rooms, ours included had cockroach infestations some had millipede infestations as well, we had to constantly ask for our fridge to be topped up. There is a definite language issue as 90% of the guests are Spanish speaking South Americans which made the evening entertainment un watchable due not understanding it. Everything is done on the App, which is OK in principle but when your trying g to access the cocktail menu with no Internet makes it hard work. The main pool if absolutely filthy (see attached photos) some days you can't even see the bottom. The main buffet has various themes for dinner which meant nothing really as basically all nights were the same food stuff. Another bad point for me personally was the amount of kids at the hotel I know it's a Family resort but I was shocked buggies and scooters everywhere. Final summary this is no way a 5 star resort 3 at best, it can be so much better. The A-La Carte restaurants were the best options especially the French, but be warned you must have long trousers and a shirt to enter the French one which I thought strange. We upgraded to a private plunge pool when we arrived which for us was a blessing considering the state of the main pool. So in hindsight I think I would rather have stayed at Secrets with the building works than here. There is a decent Pizzeria over the road in the Priveledge club family section and the Flying Fish Buffet which is a smaller version of the main Buffet. We have initially booked a Dreams Ressort in Corfu next summer but are changing it now after this bad experience. Would I recommend it - no Would I go back again - never
