Absolutely disgusting! Dirty bedding, shower or toilet have never seen bleach or any cleaning products in its life.rubbish in bin's mark's from some sort of beverage on tops of table and bedside tables, basically the room hadn't been cleaned,no towels nothing,we had drove 5 hours and was absolutely knackered. After 2 visit's to the front desk and offering to change the bedding myself I didn't want to visit a 3rd time.the first visit was for one of our cups having fag ash in it, apparently the lad behind the counter said it had been cleaned 3 times! At that point I didn't bother as it would be more lies.the place looks like it's for people living in it and we got some persons room who was away for the night,as it smelt like stale sweat and after-shave.avoid at all cost..if you like to be cold and don't mind filth go ahead.even though it wasn't overly expensive I'd rather pay more for the cleanliness and hygiene..

Light fittings hanging off ceiling, constant loud humming in the room. Toilet seat slides sideways when sitting down, thick black mould on ceilings. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Green light on in the room all night making it even more difficult to sleep.

AVOID LIKE PLAGUE My workers woke up in the morning covered in bed bug bites they have stayed at this hotel for years through work but in the last 6 months it’s went downhill. After they complained about bed bugs were told all future reservations have been cancelled absolutely disgusting behavior from the hotel. Plus there’s mold in on the ceilings of the bathroom cause dans don’t work shambles of a place.

The outside of this hotel is drab and run down. There is rubbish in the carpark. Inside it is better. It looked like a recent renovation inside. The rooms are nothing special. They are clean and small, and in ours, the curtains were torn. The shower was hot, bed small, and pillows hard. Breakfast was simple, coral, toast etc

The room smelled like a mixture of vomit, bad drains and disinfectant. I asked if anything else was available, it was not. I asked if the receptionist would like to come to the room to see that I was not exaggerating. They declined, saying that it would be the bathroom that was the source of the smell. I think if your bathroom smells like that, you maybe wouldn't book anyone into the room. We managed with the windows open, and fortunately only there overnight, but a really unpleasant experience.

Cheap and feels like it- but great location, good parking, and does the basics right. Shower Hot Water did work but only after being left on for about 5 minutes Room was clean and had what you'd need in it. Staff friendly. Fine for a night when on a business trip

The Waverley Inn has easy walk ability to the museum and dining opportunities. We had fish and chips at the Mallard which were delicious. Parking was easily available.

Overpriced hell hole Wouldn’t recommend, not cleaned properly, worst mattress I’ve ever slept in, bed looked like someone had just rolled out of it, smell of damp everywhere and bathroom ceiling covered in mould, shower held on with electrical tape
