Fasthotel A Dijon

Wanted somewhere as a lay-over on our way back through France. Left at 2AM. Couldn’t sleep, walls paper thin resulting in lots of noise from nearby industrial estate and adjacent rooms. Cockroaches in room. Not that it’s the hoteliers fault but we were aggressively and completely unwarranted- followed on route back to the hotel following a meal out. The driver was aggressive for no apparent reason so also given the area and amass of security lighting - concerned for security and the car being broken into. Shame considering we wanted to spend some time in Dijon.

Needed to extend my stay in Dijon but the hotel I was staying was full so booked here and as in disabled asked for a ground floor room. Checked in and the receptionist was friendly. I paid the local tax £1.72 for 3 days and I parked in the disabled bay right outside my room which was great. The WiFi was free and string signal. The room was extremely basic. No tea of coffee making in the room and you couldn't eat in the rooms and no main room light only one above the desk and the other on the bed head. No air con and the room was sun facing so it was 30degrees . The bathroom the floor grouting was terrible, the drain stank and the sink had a bottle top stuck in the drain and no stopper to fill up the sink. Even the shower curtain was too long so any water would get trapped in it. The rooms are wafer thin so you could hear anyone. The car park got full after 7 pm so it was full. If you just need to sleep on your onward journey then this would do but only just to sleep in. Id recommend paying a tiny bit more and staying somewhere else.

We arrived late to our hotel, we had received a voicemail saying the reception would be closing 2hrs before we arrived. We were unable to get through to reception to arrange a late check in. Luckily we arrived at the same time as another guest who had arranged late check in. The reception staff were very friendly and we felt very lucky, as we thought we would have had to sleep in the car. So, arrange late check in if you are arriving after 10.30

worst place I have ever stayed. booked for convenience as it is situated close to the motorway network.My expectations were low due to the low price; However the walls are paper thin and stacked together like boxes. we left at 5:30am after being woken by a cockroach
