Campanile Dijon Nord - Toison d'Or

Very secure parking. We had two rooms, one of which had air conditioning, the other did not. Lights outside the room meant you couldn’t have the window open as light would flood in.

The stay itself was pleasant and the staff seemed nice, but unfortunately after checkout my card received an unauthorised charge for €25 and I received an email with an invoice for a “Frais de Bagage” with no explanation. I had to email multiple times before I even got a response several days later. They changed the story and claimed I’d taken a cup from the room (which I didn’t, and the room didn’t even have cups). Reception had confirmed my bill was fully settled at checkout, so they were obviously hoping the extra charge would go unnoticed. They refused to cancel the charge so I ended up having to dispute it with my bank as a fraudulent transaction. A real shame they tried something so sneaky because otherwise the stay at the hotel was good.

Hotel i industrikvarter Billederne på siden er meget misvisende. Man tror man har booket et værelse på et pænt palæ, men når man kommer frem er det bare en kedelig lejlighedsbygning i to etager midt inde i et industrikvarter. Værelset og badet fungere fint, sengen er god men værelset var meget småt. Vi havde booket et Next Generation - Junior-værelse - 1 dobbeltseng. Hotellet fungere fint til en hurtig overnatning inden man skal køre videre. Morgenmaden var rigtig fin, der var et bredt udvalg af æg, yoghurt, brød, ost, skinke, cornflakes, pandekager og forskellige juice.

The hotel was clean and food was nice. The hotel was covered in scaffolding which didn’t help the appearance. Staff were friendly. Overall it was a good budget stopover hotel.
