A working monastery
This is a working monastery and retreat so this should be bourne in mind when you book. The rooms are up a lot of stairs so disabilities need to be discussed directly with the monastery. Breakfast is a do it yourself meal, toast, cereal, fruit and boiled eggs you can do in the boiled egg maker. You refill the coffee filter machine yourself and instructions for this would be handy. The rooms a furnished by iKea and the bed we had was a small double. The grounds are peaceful and there are times for prayer when you will have a wait to find anyone to assist you. This is clearly explained on the door to reception. They cannot take money so pay in advance for your room.
