The George & Dragon

This was the gem of our trip !!! Sydnie our waitress was just superb. If you are looking for something a little special this place is hidden in plain sight. Honestly it made our little trip from the attention to detail and the wonderful service . Thank you Sydnie xx

So pleased to have been fortunate to find the George and Dragon for a family dinner. Not that it is difficult to locate but a new find to us. Could not have been more helpful. They were originally struggling to accommodate us, but having looked at table seating and made a few adjustments called back to say they could accommodate us. Great first impression and those great impressions continued on arrival and throughout our stay. Service was very good, friendly professional and attentive without being ove the top. Food was faultless. A great experience we now look forward to repeating and we will return with no hesitation.

The g and d served us well for our one night stay. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Recommend if staying you ask for room 1.

Fabulous Fabulous stay. Great spacious room, well decorated. Quirky old pub with outstanding food and stand out staff.

Had a lovely time on our stopover day 2 of our 5 day canal walk bath to newbury. Landlord goes the exta mile (literally and figaritively!) Cheers for the lift to our lock!
