Really lovely stay food lovely staff friendly. In a very quiet location. Would recommend. They have a carpark but it's a little walk up a hill. Close to both the steam train and devils bridge. I would recommend stocking up on food and snacks of needed as there isn't a shop close by.

We made a fairly last-minute booking to stay at the Hafod Hotel. The reviews were generally good, and we were looking forward to finding out for ourselves. The location is perfectly placed next to Devil’s Bridge. We had a valley-view king room, which had a beautiful view both day and night. There’s loads of parking; however, there is a short walk from there to the hotel. The room is high quality and includes everything you need for a comfortable stay. We booked on a bed, breakfast, and dinner basis, and we weren’t disappointed. There are plenty of options for the meals and the food was very tasty. The staff are friendly and well-turned out. A special mention for Charlotte, who looked after us in the evening; nothing was too much trouble, and she was charming and humorous. We’d highly recommend the hotel, and we will definitely be back.

The website states serving food all day every day in the school holidays so we arranged to meet friends from 50 miles away. Went to order some food and we were told they stop serving food at 3. A total waste of a trip. The menus also state that food is available.

Stopped here enroute from Elan Valley to Aberystwyth for something to eat early evening. We sat on a lovely outside table in the sun, I would recommend the tables directly next to the hotel, rather than those across the road as whilst both are on the roadside, these are a little more tucked back. The food was fab! I was expecting it to be a tourist trap, with the prices were high because of this and the food meager, however I was truly proved wrong. OK the main dishes are expensive but they were delicious with portions generous. Lastly, the service was friendly and efficient, the staff were on the ball. Happily recommend.

We recently had a lunchtime meal here to celebrate at family member’s birthday. The ambience of this old hotel was lovely and we were greeted and seated at our table by friendly staff. The menu was fairly extensive with meals to suit all tastes. Prices are a little steeper than the norm for this area but the food was good quality and very nice. For such an establishment though the dress code by the staff was definitely lacking. Although most of the staff wore the same green polo shirts, some of these looked very tired and when wearing loose over sports shorts this was not a look I would expect for somebody waiting tables! I would go back as the food was good and it was local to where we needed to be, but there is certainly a need to smarten up these younger members of the team who also hung around doing a fair bit of chatting, when customers were waiting for bills etc.

Me and my kids caught the train up to devils bridge. We stopped for food in the Hafod after our walk around the falls. The service was brilliant, a young lady named Willow served us and she was super friendly and informative about the local area. Very pleasant meal , 10/10 would recommend xx

Only ate at the restaurant as a walk in, no booking. Everything about the meal was perfect. I had the lamb, my partner had the trout.

Extremely poor service. I waited 5 minutes to be served at the bar with up to 5 members of staff chatting away happily and ignoring me. I had to ask to be served. When I spoke to the manager the excuse was only one member of staff can serve drinks and they are busy. Very impressed they pay staff to chat and laugh but also ignore Customers. This also happened to my husband who has the same issues.
