When we arrived at our room, immediately you can smell a musty odor. I asked the clerk on duty at the front desk if all the rooms had this odor and she apologized and told me that some do and that it is expected seeing that we are by the ocean. I told her that there should be no musty smell even if you were by the ocean. She informed me that the hotel was all booked up and no other rooms available. She said that she could see about having maintenance put a dehumidifier in the room. I said either that or an air purifier. My wife and I left to have dinner and when we arrived back later that night, there was a standup air conditioning unit in the room with no exhaust hose. I figured we were just there to sleep and dealt with the odor for the 3 nights there. The rug felt grungy and was probably why the room had a musty smell, either that or the air conditioner unit needs a cleaning. The place is outdated and does need a face lift. Pool and Beach area nothing that Great either. We were actually disappointed in the place and the only reason we booked there was because of the many positive reviews.

This motel was very outdated and the room smells like mold. The staff was accommodating when we complained and provided another room. The second room was slightly better but again had a musty smell, sold carpet and furniture. The location was very central.

Rarely write reviews, but this place stands out. Pleasant staff and nice beach, but the motel has seen better days. I got the impression the management doesn't care and they're is just milking cash until they sell it. Everything seems to be broken. I wouldn't venture into the pool due to odd water color; the (1980's vintage) alarm clock was set to go off twice in the middle of the night. Just back to sleep and the storm door blew open and banged against railing. Hard pass on this place - You can get much better value Three Seasons or Ocean House

Property was nice but the staff overall was not friendly and I paid for ocean view and the room was not. Said there was breakfast or place to get it but there was not.

No sound proofing between rooms My room was very, very clean. However, there was a musty smell that bothered me. I would not go again because there is virtually no sound proofing between rooms. I was able to hear every word coming from the adjoining room as if it was in my room.

Very disappointed with the staff at check in. We were led to believe that we had a great ocean view and in reality it was very limited. Staff told us there were no other rooms and were sold out. However a friend called and asked if there was a room available for that night and was told there was. The room description needs to be adjusted on the ******* website. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable but the rudeness of the front desk staff put a damper on our stay. Easy beach access was a plus.

We visited two years ago and had a great time. Hot tubs and the pool bar were open, grills were by the pool for guests to use . Visited last weekend and the grills were gone , you now have to walk to the indoor pool area to use the grills, which defeats the purpose of the convenience factor . And also being able to grill on the premises was much more enjoyable . Hot tub on our side was broken until the last day, the pool was freezing (not sure the purpose of an unheated pool in mass) breakfast was no longer available in the lobby. (Back in the day they offered amazing coffee and pastries every morning for an extra cost) just an overall disappointing experience not sure if we’ll return under the new management. Still a beautiful beach and location and the rooms were clean . Beds and pillows are great.
