"The facility is very nice and the staff are kind and welcoming. The only negative point concerns the breakfast. We booked a rate that explicitly included breakfast, and we were also given a breakfast voucher confirming this. However, we later discovered it was not a buffet but table service, with someone taking orders. At the end of the meal, we were presented with a bill stating that tax was not included. Since we are in the US, there is also an expectation to leave a tip. Having traveled across five continents and more than 40 countries, we have never been asked to pay an additional €15 for a breakfast that was clearly included in the room rate and confirmed by voucher. This was very disappointing."

"The room is old and could use a renovation. The surroundings are okay, but the moment you enter the room, you're greeted by a foul odor you can't quite pinpoint, and I have no idea where it came from. When I was checking out this morning, I discovered two dried-up pieces of feces on the corners of the quilt that had been pressed under my feet and tucked under the bed. This was a masterpiece left by the previous guest and a major mistake by the housekeeping staff, who apparently didn't even change the quilt. Otherwise, such a magnificent piece of work wouldn't have gone unnoticed. From the moment I discovered the feces, everything I see looks like feces. I feel like I've been eating feces all day. So, no matter how beautiful a hotel's photos are, they can't compare to the care and dedication put into running it."

"Booked a one-week stay through RCI and got a surprise plot twist on the day of check-in: an email (email only!) saying I was being moved to a “sister resort.” No call. No text. I called the next day and was told the resort was overbooked. The solution? Ship me to Sea Wave Resort, which is a downgrade. Apparently, “sister resort” now means lower standards, same disappointment. I asked to be moved to L’Auberge—you know, the place they’re affiliated with and even do check-ins for. Suddenly, I’m told they’re “not the same company.” Interesting, since L’Auberge magically had availability that weekend. Guess problem-solving was sold out too. RCI confirmed that overbooking is not an approved reason to relocate guests. Andrew Faiella, the GM, was about as helpful as the last-minute email. RCI confirmed they were not notified by Villa L'Auberge also on this matter. This mess completely deflated what was supposed to be a special weekend and took about 90 mins of my work morning to figure out. BEWARE if booking this place. You might book one resort and end up at Sea Wave Resort down the street instead—surprise included, consent not required. Hope getting a refund is a breeze. I understand mistakes happen but this is taking too much of my time to deal with and it's THEIR mistake."
