This is a very nice and clean space to stay outside of Bangor. It's on the way to Bar Harbor and northern points like New Brunswick. It has decent views and old fashioned Maine rooms. Its short on local amenities- its on the road between bar harbor and ellsworth and there is little nearby except the golf course across the street. There is a small outdoor swimming pool

Upon entering the room the air freshener was overwhelming and toxic to my wife so we slept with the windows wide open. When we tried to get some warmth from the fireplace it didn't work. The amenities were sparse. No mini-fridge nor microwave. There was a coffee maker but no tea. There was an ice bucket but the only ice machine was one flight down and we're both handicapped. The continental breakfast was not worthy of the name. For the money we would have been much better off in the nearby Comfort Inn or Days Inn.

When we booked we were not told there was a wedding. As we checked in we were advised of wedding and it would be very noisy until 10 PM. We paid $289 for a very small room. The bathroom was a refurnished closet. Sink area was so small you could bruise your elbows brushing your teeth. The mattress was vey old and you could use a seat belt to keep you falling off. We did have dinner and the service was good. The food was edible and nothing spectacular. The continental breakfast was very marginal. Everything was prepackaged…. Except a blueberry cake and a fruit salad that was not ripe. There was frozen egg McMuffin that you would put in microwave… reminded me of 7-eleven. Quite frankly I would not stay there for half the price. On last quirky item; you are told not to leave a tip for housekeeping in the room but rather leave it at the front desk. Made me wonder if housekeeping received these tips.

Beautiful property! Friendly and welcoming staff. Very helpful. Do yourself a favor and eat dinner at the restaurant. Our food was phenomenal and we ordered 2 of the blueberry pies because it was so delicious! Nice, clean room with comfortable bed. Best place we stayed on our 5 night trip!

We stayed at the Lucern Inn on our way back from Canada to our home in Vermont. We stayed in the Annex in a large room. The gas fireplace did not work, one of the bedside table lamps did not work. When we called the front desk for help with the TV, the woman on the phone just laughed and said she had no idea how to fix the problem. We ate at the restaurant in the Inn. The food was very good (hamburger, veggie wrap, eggplant fries) but the service was terrible. We paid $367 plus rooms tax for our room. It was not worth it and we will never go back.

Beautiful historical property and a lovely view (rm 11). The furniture was avg—nothing great. Mattress was absolutely horrible!!—thus we did not sleep well. This is the reason for a 3 star rating. Two other couple noted the mattress issue. Breakfast was disappointing & prepackaged. The fruit, coffee & cake were good, but the protein options were yogurt and bland microwave packaged sandwiches. Very nice staff and lovely golf course. The room size was clean and adequate. No parking issues. We did not eat at the restaurant, so I can’t review the food.

Beautiful views! Literally stunning to wake up to after a long night on a terrible bed. We stayed in suite C on the main level. We had a gorgeous view. The suite was spacious, but severely dated with random, tired furniture. I appreciate trying to stay with the theme of the hotel, but it’s time for some updates. Continental breakfast was as expected. Overall, I would look closer to Acadia at some places that seemed to have some better accommodations. We had dinner in the restaurant and we had great service and the food was good.

The evening dining at Lucerne Inn was terrible! The service was just as bad. My son ordered Salmon and the server brought scallops . When my son said I ordered salmon not scallops the server said that no you ordered Scallops my husband and I when we ordered heard our son order Salmon. It took thirty minutes before he got what he actually ordered and than it was not cooked all the way. Tried to eat slow so we as a family could eat dinner at the same time instead we was finished with our meal and sat there watching our son eat his. Definitely will not dine there again!

We got the same room that other reviews show the view as a wedding reception area right outside our window not happy with that. These rooms are number one, number two and number three we were in room one. I was OK with that and the thing that really downgraded your rating is the service. Bartender was very rude as we were at the end of happy hour. And the other person who I believe was cleaning up from the breakfast, and also the front desk lady scolded us like kids for getting on an antique horse, which had no signage and then she would not give her name because she doesn’t give out her name her in particular Ruined our stay here. I will not stay here again.
