Quality Inn Decherd / Winchester

We were in Winchester area for a church meeting. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They even cleaned our room on the second day and most don’t do that anymore. Replaced our towels. The manager was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. The church we went to was great I recommend it also Calvary Baptist.

Clean, comfortable room. Accommodating front desk staff. Hot, plentiful shower. Lovely pool. Good proximity to restaurants. Speedy WiFi. It was a busy night for Franklin County hotels and we were lucky to get the last room at this hotel. It was everything we needed.

The Best Motel I ever stayed in Tennessee. I don't believe what I read about this Beautiful, Gorgeous, Motel. We will return again in October 2024. Away from Noise of traffic. Pool was Ultra Warm. Love this Resort. Close to Lynchburg, Tennessee.

WORST hotel we have stayed at in the past 40 years. Filthy, smells like decay, one washcloth and hand towel for 2 people with no more available. Pillows were AWFUL. Breakfast buffet out of juice, milk, coffee cups. Rubbery scrambled eggs and 4 sausage links sitting in grease. DISGUSTING. To top if off the bill for 2 people-1 night was just over $200. Unfortunately there is no recourse to get a refund! DO NOT STAY HERE. You are better off sleeping in your car or on a park bench.

Okay, so i’m usually not the type of person yk leave a review, but this place, i just cant let slide. First of all, as anyone, we were looking for a good deal, a cheap one. I wont lie, i know you pay for service, so i didn’t expect this place to be luxury by any means, but i did pay over $100 for an experience that was definitely not worth it, and i could have easily stayed someone else, cheaper, and had a better stay. Hands down. Okay so, where do i begin. Not to judge a book by its cover, but this place is clearly outdated. Falling apart from the outside -in. We walk into our room, which had a conjoining door. The bedsheets were dirty, to say the least. We politely asked for new sheets and insisted we’d change them ourselves. The mattresses were comfortable i will say, but the backboard was FILTHY. It had handprints and, yes, butt cheek prints. I wish i was kidding. Everything was grimy, like everything. The shower drain was taped… and the marabled walls were so dirty i couldn’t even fathom to touch it. You could see the grime. Obviously they don’t clean it. The furniture was just thrown around, everything was crooked, like the wall decor, the tv barley worked. There wasn’t anything i could say was good about this room. The pillows, and to call them pillows is a poor excuse because those were not pillows. Those were balls that were so crumpled and old. The went flat as soon as your head hit it. There were only three on the bed. Those three pillows was equivalent to ONE regular pillow. Yeah. And they were stained yellow and old. definitely could have been replaced and should have been replaced. Any other hotel would replace their inventory when it got that bad. In the room my mother stayed, the shower drain didn’t work, and it was filled with water to her ankles by the time she got out. The water pressure was horrible. Made me feel dirtier after showering and the whole point was to feel cleaner. Don’t get me started on the orange juice, it was very watered down.. The apple juice was fine. I wish i could say i liked this place but I would have rather stayed in a tent. Don’t waste your time or your money.

We have not had the unfortunate displeasure of staying in a hotel this bad in a very long time. We went to our first room and it was dirty- food wrappers, dirt and grime on the floor, smelt awful, and a wash rag with brown stains on it hanging from the light fixture. It took 5 minutes for the water to get warm. The security lock on the door was basically just hanging there. Something that looked like mouse droppings in the floor. Stuff spilt on the floor, do not go barefoot if you have the misfortune of staying here. Furniture is filthy and appears to never get cleaned. The second room was almost as bad, only marginally better but only by a very small margin. This is more like a $40 a night hotel. They must be hiding the $126 a night rooms and giving their guests a $40 room for the $126 price. Without question, an overpriced disaster!

This place needs some serious help, the cleaning staff is seriously lacking to say the least. We went through 3 rooms trying to find one that wasn't just disgusting. The first room hadn't been cleaned at all, towels were dirty and in a pile, trash cans were full, pee all over the toilet and floor, nasty dirty foot prints all over the floor. Second room smelled like cigarette smoke. Third room was the least nasty of them all, but still dirty. We had to just suck it up and deal with it. It was late and we had no other options. I will sleep in my vehicle next time if I have to. Absolutely would recommend anyone considering this hotel to find somewhere better, because this place is gross.

Reviews on this hotel are all over the place. Chose it because we were with a group that was staying nearby at the Best Western. This is a former Jameson Inn hotel that is now a Quality Inn. It is a two level place with stairs and it is dated. The room was okay but didn't have a trash can for example, and the water wouldn't shut off in the bathtub/shower. No wash cloths or hand towels, only two towels. Places on the walls in the bathroom that needs paint. But, overall the sleep quality was Ok. The place needs more TLC. The parking lot is not in great shape and they just aren't paying attention to cutting the grass and removing the weeds. The picture in this posting looks better than the actual, sorry but that is the truth. We ate breakfast at a local place the next day, so don't know about food or drinks in the morning.
