The room was great, on the 21st floor, directly facing Yongtai Gate, offering a good view of the ancient city's layout. They also provided 4 bottles of high-quality spring water in the room. Breakfast was rich, including Cantonese options. On the day we left, we asked the front desk for a late check-out until 3 PM, and they agreed. Even though it's an older five-star hotel, it still maintains its quality. Very good. And it's convenient to get to the ancient city.

Objectively and pertinently speaking, the hotel's price is very high. I booked in June. The price was still low compared to the average price of the hotel outside the ancient city. In July, the hotel also increased the price of more than 100 yuan. After all, it entered the peak season. The location is also good next to the main road, and there are two big beds suitable for family trips to sleep. The disadvantage is that the hotel is upstairs because the upper and lower floors are upstairs, and the stairs are narrower for some elderly people with bad legs. In addition, I have to say that the sound of the room going up and down the stairs is too loud. At night, it is the sound of the stairs in the next room. I hope it can be improved. In addition, the hotel does not have towels and bath towels and shower caps. They are disposable bath towels. But it's nothing compared to the cheap price.

The location of the hotel is excellent, just next to the ancient city wall of Datong, it is very convenient to travel. The room is on the 22nd floor high-rise, high-altitude overlooking the night view of the ancient city, the scenery is super beautiful! The staff is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are clean and tidy, the stay is very comfortable, the hotel is also equipped with a public laundry room, and the travel laundry is particularly convenient. The hardware configuration of the e-sports room is full, the operation is silky and not stuck, and the black game experience is directly taken off 🛫

The location is excellent, and the hotel facilities are clean and hygienic. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. However, the internet speed is very slow, and you have to cast your own content since there are no free VIP movies.

The hotel's location is great, with convenient transportation and attractions nearby; Datong Ancient City is right behind it. Also, the hotel's cleaning staff were very thoughtful, promptly replacing room amenities and drinking water. Overall, it was a great stay, and I'll definitely book here again next time.

This was a last-minute hotel change for me. When I arrived, my room wasn't ready yet, but the young lady at the front desk immediately and proactively helped me switch rooms and upgraded me. The deluxe twin room was very spacious; it felt almost empty for just me. The room was very clean, the bedding had no strange odors, and the facilities were new. Both the bathroom and the washroom had motion-sensor lights, and the toiletries had a lovely, fresh scent. The only minor issue was the toilet flush button, which needed a firm press all the way down to flush properly. All the staff I encountered were very polite. Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were constantly attentive to your needs, whether it was refilling tea or getting condiments – they were right there to help, which was great. There are many good restaurants nearby, like Xijindao Noodle House and Tianyuan Beiweijia Feast. When checking out, they proactively gave me a thoughtful souvenir gift, including aged vinegar, millet, and some local specialty snacks, which was a very nice touch.

Every time I visit Datong, I choose to stay here. I mean, if it's good enough for central government leaders visiting Datong, how bad could it be? The rooms at Datong Hotel aren't huge and the facilities are a bit old, but staying here feels open and comfortable. This might be due to the thick walls and simple design of the older building, which means less mutual interference and a very quiet night's sleep. Just a couple of suggestions: could the fountain in the courtyard be turned off earlier in the evening, and could the music from the speakers in the courtyard be a bit softer? I chose this hotel for its peace and quiet, so it feels unnecessary and counterproductive for the hotel to create noise.

This hotel is actually part of Datong Hotel, and its location is quite good, right in the city center and not too far from the ancient city. Overall, it has that classic state-run hotel vibe – all the facilities are a bit old, but it's decent; nothing outstanding, but no major issues either. My travel companion stayed here over ten years ago, so we came back for the nostalgia. The room size is pretty good. The family room just replaced the sofa with an extra bed. The mattress was a bit too soft, which isn't ideal if you have back problems – I woke up with aches all over after two nights. One thing I do have to complain about is the cleanliness. The bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned; the bathtub hadn't been scrubbed properly. I figured I wouldn't use it anyway, so I didn't bother asking for it to be cleaned again. The buffet breakfast offered a decent variety, and you can also order à la carte on the second floor for lunch and dinner. They have all the local specialties, and the prices are quite reasonable.

位置離古城不遠，3/4公里的樣子，有地下免費停車場，就是路口不太好找，進出車需要跟管家通報。房間佈置的很家庭感，很乾凈，建議空調別裝在床前，睡覺時打算吹空調實在不太好受。亮點是有冰箱、有洗衣機，但是整屋沒有配晾衣桿之類的設施，顯得有些考慮不周。
