Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse Reviews

I spent a wonderful two weeks here in April / May, and absolutely loved it - my calmest, easiest experience in China so far. The hotel is clean and beautiful, the quality of everything in the rooms is very high, but it still has a ‘homestay’ feel - the balance is just right. The roof terrace has a gorgeous view of the mountains and is very relaxing, the hosts are kind and helpful (no English is spoken, but WeChat works well). The street is quiet, but it’s only a few minutes’ walk to great street food, cafes, bars and restaurants. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will return if I’m ever in Dali again.

As advertised the look n surroundings. Lady boss is friendly n helpful. Location just a bit outskirts of Dali Ancient City away from the nightclubs not nosy at night.  Bed / pillow clean with electric blanket. Bathroom stones wall unique hot water plentiful air suction good, toilet bowl excellent flush with heated seat all the time; sink beautiful stone with hot water as well. Overall is a nice place to stay if u r not looking for modern hotel 😘

Service was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location. Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

Really cute little hotel! Well located, near to the Main Street but not right there. The place had a typical traditional Dali style and a really nice rooftop terrace where we could admire the view of the mountains over the ancient town’s roofs. Our room was small but cleaned daily and it had all the amenities. It’s a good choice for a stay in Dali!

The room is clean and comfortable. The boss lady is very nice and talkative. You can ask her any questions.

Very cozy courtyard, the boss is very enthusiastic and friendly. It is very comfortable to sit in the sun on the second floor, and the scenery on the third floor is also very good. The restaurant opposite the door is very delicious

The location is very good, and it is very convenient to visit the pedestrian street and experience the nightlife of the ancient city. The service is very good, the facilities are very good, and the hygiene is very good! In short, I am very satisfied! I will stay in Meishan again when I come to Dali next time

It was a very good homestay experience. The boss and his wife were very kind. Although I only stayed for one night, I still felt their hospitality. The location is in the alley of the ancient city, but it was not noisy at night. This was the 4th night of the trip, and it was the best night of sleep. It is very convenient to travel, and you can go out for a walk during the day and at night. The boss lady also gave me drinks and candies when I left.

The room is clean and has no peculiar smell. It feels like home. Many small details show that the boss and his wife are generous and considerate of customers: facial tissues, shampoo, and shower gel are all purchased from well-known brands. Bottled purified water is placed in the corridor for unlimited use. I asked the boss to add two disposable face towels, and the boss grabbed a lot. There is a refrigerator and a microwave, which is convenient for us to store and heat packaged food. I think such a generous boss will definitely have a bigger business in the future. Parking is available at the door, and it is also convenient to take a taxi. The Bai restaurant opposite is also very delicious and affordable. It can be seen that they are all people who want to do things well with all their heart and soul. Learn from them.

I was stunned when I opened the door of the inn. I loved the environment. What made my little princess the happiest was that there were two chubby cats. I couldn't let go and kept hugging them. This made me worry-free. I came to the room on the third floor and was very satisfied. It was clean and the decoration was very unique. There was also a terrace. Drinking tea, chatting, and taking pictures were all OK. The innkeeper's sister also provided good service. She was very kind and patient. She helped to carry the suitcase and guided the tour route. I will come again. I recommend friends to book (Meishan Inn) when they come to Dali😊

This inn is rated by Kanwang. It is a great inn! The facilities are very good, the bed is very comfortable, and I don't want to get up. The shampoo and shower gel are so easy to use, better than the ones I bring myself [silly smile]! The environment is very good, the yard is beautiful, and the rooftop terrace can see the beautiful scenery of the entire Cangshan Mountain! The location is very good, convenient for shopping and traveling. The service attitude is good, warm, thoughtful and friendly. The hygiene is very good and clean, and the decoration is simple, exquisite, elegant and environmentally friendly. I will stay here again next time! Highly recommended [sly smile]
