Location convenient close to pier, and with beaches both sides. Value for money. Breakfast may be improved but generally all good. Would stay in cottage house next time (closer to sea, and more unique)

Nice place, the shark sanctuary was great!

The room is very clean and the service is very good. There are many Europeans and Americans, so it's good for diving! Singles are not recommended to go, as shown in the picture below! gogogo OK OK OK

The room was average, but you can lie on the beach and watch the sunset, and you can snorkel and see baby sharks.

The service is almost non-existent, the black guy is openly discriminating, the wifi signal is too poor to connect, the meat for breakfast is canned food sold at 40p a can in the supermarket, the decoration is simple and can only be considered OK in the Philippines, there is no quilt on the bed, only sheets, and the sea view room has to climb stairs from the hotel entrance to the room, which is very tiring

We stayed at Tepanee beach for a week. We didn't want to leave anymore. The owners, Silvia and Andrea, in addition to being extremely pleasant people to converse with, have created a small paradise in Malapascua, with a keen eye on good food, the peaceful atmosphere of the environment and respect for the nature in which they have invested lots of energy. At Tepanee you will find all the elements to be able to relax without getting bored, to rediscover yourself in nature, in slowness and attention to small details, including a small multilingual library from which to draw wonderful stories! A warm hug, we will definitely see each other again

The Tepanee Resort can actually be recommended: - simple but clean rooms. Unfortunately, they are a bit noisy and you just have to be lucky with the award. There are bungalows whose terraces are completely on the path with no view - which, in contrast to others, just seems a shame. - a simple breakfast buffet, which unfortunately is only offered from 8:00 a.m. and is therefore wasted money for active divers who are already on the boat. The Filipino dishes here are often good, but the fruit and vegetables are very carelessly prepared. Even if asked, nothing can be prepared here. I would be happy to recommend the resort, especially because of the great location, because it is located on a very beautiful and protected bay that is bursting with biodiversity and offers a retreat for young black tip reef sharks. But here comes the but: - the price for the rooms is too high - The bay is controlled by the owner and staff and care is taken to ensure that snorkelers behave well. What sounds good in itself, however, degenerates into the fact that there is often shouting, whistling and megaphone talking across the bay. An absolutely absurd situation in which the owner of the resort apparently doesn't find any solutions to help beginners in snorkeling who are in trouble (e.g. with floating rings that they can use to adjust the mask/the concrete blocks are already on the ground) - but only in a very disgusting way. There was even shouting back and forth in the bay from snorkelers and owners. Simply unpleasant. My tip: Get a cheap hotel and pay the 200php entrance fee to snorkel on site in the bay. The bay is worth it, but the hotel is not worth it.

The room was clean

Beautiful location overlooking the little bay with juvenile black tip sharks. Our room had a balcony with stunning view of the sunset. Room spacious enough, aircon wasn't working but was fixed. Breakfast from the restaurant also had amazing view over port, decent variety although all cold (eggs, bacon etc). No milk for coffee, tea, just milkpowder. I tried to book diving in advance through their recommended dive centre (MTD) by sending emails and whatsapps which remained unanswered. Dived with TSD which was 3 min walk and can highly recommend them. My wife enjoyed the snorkeling at resort and relaxing on the loungers underneath big trees while I was diving. Please note that you are not allowed to just go for a swim at the beach in front of the resort as you need to be "snorkeling" in the sanctuary. And they police this very strictly. For swimming you need to use the beach in front of the next resort which was not really a problem for us. One big plus point is that the resort always responded promptly via email before the visit, they also arranged our taxi from Cebu City. Our biggest disappointment was that our trip to Kalagaman island book through the resort were cancelled twice the mornings we were supposed to go, which was very inconvenient. Only explanation offered was that the captain was drunk because of the fiesta and the other time because of the election. I got the impression they wanted us to take a private tour instead. No alternatives offered or trying to rebook us with another operator. I requeated to speak to the manager who was apperenrly not available. The second time it was cancelled we spoke to a few places outside the resort who immediately recommend visting Carnaza and Lamanoc islands which were a bit closer, cheaper and stunningly beautiful. See pics. Make sure to visit the port area at the back of the resort for unbeatable sunsets from the beach while enjoying a cocktail. We also did a snorkeling trip around the island booked through resort which is highly recommend not for the snorkeling as much but for visiting North beach which is stunningly beautiful. So all in all a good place to stay although the staff were not that helpfull or friendly as in other resorts we stayed in Phillipines before.

A really lovely destination and a great way to finish off our three weeks in The Philippines. We stayed in the Seaview rooms and the view and ambiance is exceptional. The snorkling in the Marine protected area is such fun and the kids loved it. They played on the beach in front of Blanco and this worked well as you could see them from the loungers in Tepanee. I had worried about that. The staff in Chiringuito and around the resort are lovely and I really enjoyed the straight forward nature of the breakfast. Eggs and nice coffee ordered and a buffet of some cakes/granola/ fruit/ yoghurt. It also had a few Filipino dishes and bacon or sausage rotated.

My wife and I, along with some of our friends had a fantastic stay at Tepanee Beach Resort. Everything from making our reservation, to our pickup and drop off went flawlessly. We arranged our complete transfer from and to Cebu City with the resort, to make things much easier for our group. The resort is well appointed, with comfortable rooms, well-manicured grounds and fantastic restaurants. They also have a gym and a spa for those that wish to indulge in those activities. The staff at Tepanee are very friendly and always helpful. Their small beachfront is a protected area, which serves as a nursery to baby Blacktip Reef Sharks. Other fish and critters can be seen as well, while snorkeling there. The resort also set up a dive package for us with Malapascua Thresher Divers (MTD Dive shop). It was very convenient, as the dive shop picked us up from a small beach behind the resort. All and all we had a wonderful week in Malapascua at Tepanee resort. We have already booked our return visit for next year.

WOW!! Such a beautiful resort! And the staff was so so friendly and helpful! My group and I spent 8 days and 7 nights at Tepanee Beach Resort and it was AMAZING!! The reception/ front desk staff of Daryl, Rovelyn, Rhona, Joy and Lorgina went above and beyond to help make sure everything went smoothly! They were so sweet and helpful, I can't say enough good things about them!! The rest of the resort staff was always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. Our group felt safe and relaxed throughout our entire stay. The spa was great and the massages were fantastic! We all took advantage of the spa multiple times throughout our stay. Amihan Restaurant was beautful and had a wonderful and eclectic mix of options from Italian, Filipino and American cuisine and more. I ordered the pork adobo and the carbonara more than once and would order them again in a heartbeat! There is a small lagoon located directly in front of the resort with coral, clownfish and baby black tip reef sharks. There are rules they have in place to increase conservation efforts and I really liked that! Overall the resort and staff get a 11/10 from me and my group! I highly recommend Tepanee Beach Resort. The resort is beautiful and the amenities were fantastic but the people there are what makes it extra special!

The nicest Resort we’ve been to in the three weeks spent around Philippines by bike! The resort really cares about the environment, included sea life. They succeeded in protecting the beach and the sea, in fact we could swim with so many sharks, such an emotion!!! Fishes, corals, everything lives in front of the resort! Not a single plastic thing found in the sea or on the beach, also the sea is very clean!! Of course, they’re Italian so the food is the perfect mix of Italian quality and philippines ingredients! Thanks again Andrea and Silvia, you did an amazing job with the resort and we wish you all the best luck for your future!

Tapanee beach resort It's in a wonderful place! The rooms are spacious, spotless and with a breathtaking view! The Resort is in a quiet place, and you can swim in the marine protected area right next to the rooms and see the blacktip sharks, corals and wonderful fishes! Breakfast is an exceptional buffet with fresh products, homemade cakes, choices of savoury products and freshly squeezed juices! The hotel facilities are wonderful (bar, restaurant, spa, gym and much more) and the owners are very kind. They can give you many tips to make your stay in malapascua exceptional! I wished I would never leave!
