We recently stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Cypress, Texas, and overall, it was a comfortable experience. The rooms were large, well-appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with useful details like dish soap and utensils. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job throughout our stay. However, there were a few issues that should be addressed: 1. No luggage racks: There were no luggage racks available in the room, which meant we had to place our suitcases directly on the carpet. This was inconvenient and unsanitary, and it made accessing our belongings uncomfortable. 2. Pest issue: During our stay in Room 408, we noticed several small cockroaches in the larval stage coming in and out of the wall area behind the toilet. We observed this multiple times during our visit, which was concerning. 3. Security concern: The door frame to our room had a noticeable gap, large enough that it seemed a simple tool or hanger could be used to open the door. This felt unsafe and should be repaired promptly. We checked out on November 3rd, and while we truly appreciated the staff and the spacious accommodations, these issues detracted from what could have been a perfect stay. Great experience! The hotel was very clean spacious and the staff was very friendly. They even had boardgames in the lobby to play with. We truly enjoyed our stay.
