I've stayed in a wide variety of hotels in my lifetime, and while this was a clean and comfy hotel, I felt it was HORRIBLY overpriced. We only stayed here bc we had been stuck in horrendous traffic for hours on I-65, and all of the hotels right off the interstate were sold out. One recommended this place, and we were desperate to get off the road, so we went with it. We're not familiar with the area, but it wasn't near anything that appeared to make it a great location to cost more - all the popular restaurants are at least 10 minutes drive. The free breakfast was just ok. The restaurant on site had some interesting items on the menu, but if you are traveling with picky eaters, forget it. The wifi was AWFUL, like I've never experienced this kind of awful anywhere I've ever stayed. I know the hotel was sold out shortly after we checked in, so maybe it had heavy usage? I know this probably seems weird to complain about, but the TV remote was super confusing!!! We could barely get anything to work right, and we're pretty tech savvy. There were options to sign into streaming accounts, but the wifi was so bad it kept saying there was no internet available. There was a guide, but no numbers on the remote, so you had to just go through all the channels individually to find something. The channels didn't even match what was on the guide. Super weird tv experience. The lady at the front desk must not have been from the South...she wasn't rude, but there was definitely not a warm fuzzy vibe happening for two extremely weary travelers. The beds were comfortable and the room and hotel was very clean. There's a mini freezer in the mini fridge if that's helpful info to anybody. They have a heated pool, but we were too tired to try it out. Overall, the hotel looks nice enough, but to put the price in comparison, we had just paid the same amount of money per night at a waterfront hotel in Navarre Florida with STUNNING views and PRIME location that was well worth the price we paid – this place was definitely not.
