"My second visit to Crystal River. First to the Port Hotel. Spent 4 nights. Ground floor. Relaxing patio.A great, central spot right on the water. Sunsets from most every room. Kayak rentals, fun restaurant, live music, friendly staff. It’s an old building. Construction is going on next door where the new Port Hotel will be. Love Crystal River. Great vibe. Swimming with manatee is an amazing experience. Highly recommend."

Plantation Resort on Crystal River ★★★

"Besides, 80% of the resort is being shut down and not accessible due to the storm damage from 2 years ago, which was not posted online. There were no amenities besides a pool with no bathroom. Because nothing has been repaired yet. The room smelled so bad for mildew and mold. The shower water was so unbearably hot, We could not take a shower, I had to switch rooms. It was still unbearably hot. I would not recommend this resort to anybody truthfully. It needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. The golf course is fabulous, except the Clubhouse is still under repair from the storms, and they had porta-potties up for bathroom use. No temporaryclubhousepublic bathrooms. I do not use a nasty porta potty."

"We spent four nights, and it was one of our best B&B experiences. The location is perfect for sight-seeing, just a few miles off the main road. You really feel you're "away" from it all. Teresa and Daniel are wonderful hosts, and the sunrise-facing rooms are very charming, and super clean. And large--with different sitting areas, a desk etc. We slept well on the comfortable bed with amazingly soft sheets. Each room opens up to a totally screened-in porch area where there are tables and chairs, easy chairs, lamps etc.. to make it almost as comfortable as being in the room ! There is a dock and a deck area down below where you can relax in the sun. We can't say enough about the scrumptious breakfasts, always starting with a pastry (peach cobbler, pavlova, fruit cake etc) with lovely fresh fruit and berries -- followed by eggs cooked in a variety of ways. We particularly enjoyed the eggs with zucchini. Rather than going out to dinner on two of the evenings, we ordered a half bottle of delicious Argentinian Malbec, and their Lullaby Tray which is a substantial charcuterie plate. We also enjoyed meeting the friendly Naruto, and Paris, two of their three cats.. it made things even more fun for us."

"I really enjoyed our stay there. The room was spacious and clean, all personal care products were available. For american style breakfast - quite good choice. The personel was really nice ! And the pool was open up to „dusk” which was so convinient since we arrived late. Really recommend !"
