Gold King Mountain Inn

While staying at the Gold Mountain Inn on 7-22 to 7-24.  The room we stood in had a moldy shower curtain and the tub was dirty.  The air conditioner/heater unit was so loud we had to turn it off just to sleep. We were in a double Queens size bed room.  One of the beds had multiple sheets and the other had no sheets and was made backwards with the sheet on top and the comforter on bottom. I have stayed here multiple times and have never had this kind of problem.  I was over charged for the stay.  When reserving through ******* the information stated final cost would be $191.42 .  When I arrived I was charged $201.78.  When I asked the staff person behind the desk she informed me it was a resort fee.  I informed her what the final cost should be according to *******.  She had no solution or explanation.  When checking out I inquired about the extra fee, the gentleman behind the desk was not very helpful either.  I asked for a Supervisor and was told they were not available and I could not speak with them because they are hourly, what! There was no one to speak with on site that could truly assist me.  I recommend better staff training on how to handle a situation such as this.  I have not heard back from anyone at Gold Mountain Inn or ******* and have emailed them 2 times.

In general run down hotel for the money. Check in person very nice and helpful. The check out gentleman had no personality and not helpful.

The staff was great but the bed was uncomfortable the shower was kinda gross. Looks closer to more of the attractions in town but is up a steep poorly maintained road. DOES NOT HAVE A SHUTTLE. DOES NOT HAVE PINBALL as pictured. DOES NOT HAVE A BAR as pictured. Most frustrating part is the pictures on the ******* site DO NOT REFLECT THE PROPERTY.

Great stay! Great stay! We enjoyed the placement of the hotel being on the edge of Cripple Creek. It was quiet, staff were friendly, and the cost was low. Truly a great place to stay and one I will recommend to anyone who asks. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, and the staff and guests were so friendly. Made our family vacation a positively memorable one.

This is a Golden Nugget property with Motel 6 vibes. The Golden Nugget needs to put some serious money into this building. However, I knew this going in. For the price point, you get what you pay for. Pool was nice. Beds are terrible. Hotel is old and grimy. Staff was great.
