The hotel is very correct and the facilities are very good, but it does not exceed expectations. What I liked the most was the theming of the dinners, with the cooks making sushi on the spot (in a Spanishized way, obviously).
If you compare it to the price, it is very good value for money.

Ik heb twee keer in dit prachtige hotel verbleven, de t****e keer in juli 2025. Uitstekende locatie midden op het strand van Costa Calma, een mooie stijlvol hotel met een overvloed aan fantastisch uitzicht op zee, zowel vanaf het terrein als vanaf alle verdiepingen en terrassen van het gebouw. Mooi en gezellig terrein met drie zwembaden, een tuin en een zonneterras. Compacte spa met hydromassage, massage, kappers- en schoonheidsbehandelingen. Ruime kamers met alles wat je nodig hebt en grote terrassen. Hoge professionaliteit van het personeel en een onvergetelijke sfeer van gastvrijheid, comfort en ontspanning. Livemuziek in de avonduren. Ik heb al mijn derde vakantie geboekt bij Mijn Palace :) ! Tot ziens!

Das Hotel ist sehr groß aber es sind kaum Menschen zu sehen. Alles hier hat seine besten Jahre gehabt. Was kaputt ist, bleibt kaputt. Die Toiletten um die Poolanlage wird einfach eine Tüte über die Toilette gestülpt. Innerhalb des Hotels teilweise auch. Pech gehabt. Es gibt nur liegen auf den Balkonen und keine Stühle. Geschmackssache. Vielleicht möchte man am Abend lieber sitzen anstelle liegen. Es wäre eine tolle Anlage wenn man was tun würde. Es wird nichts erneuert, gestrichen oder repariert. Es macht an einigen Ecken einen schäbigen Eindruck. Die Hotelkatzen sind gut versorgt. Das lobe ich sehr. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich gut, ebenso das Frühstück. Die meisten Mitarbeiter zuvorkommend und freundlich. Im Vergleich zu einem Riu Hotel hat es die 4 Sterne nicht bzw. nicht mehr verdient. Es ist extrem Windig in Costa Calma was alles in Ordnung zu halten nicht einfacher macht. Der Strand ist Toll.

Plus: Die Lage des Hotels ist top, das Speisenangebot war lecker und ausreichend, das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Minus: alles ist abgewohnt und unmodern. Der Wellnessbereich würde in Deutschland aus baulichen und hygienischen Gründen geschlossen werden. Der Fitnessraum ist einfach nicht diesen Namen wert. In den Osterferien war einer der beiden Pools beheizt. Abendprogramm: war altmodisch, Gäste sind lieber früh ins Bett. Animation oder Sport wie Aquagymnastik wird nicht angeboten.

The room wasn’t as clean as I hoped, which was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. I had requested a late check-out by just one hour (still well before check-in time for new guests) and even offered to pay extra, but they didn’t accommodate me — despite the hotel not being full. One thing I wish I knew before going: German! Around 90% of the clientele is German, and that’s reflected even in the buffet, which leans more towards German dishes than Spanish ones. Another downside is that still water isn’t included in the half-board package — a small bottle costs €3.10, which I found quite exaggerated. The language barrier was also an issue, as most of the staff speak only German or Spanish, and very little English. That said, all the waiters I interacted with were genuinely lovely and did their best, which definitely made the experience more pleasant.

Ich war mal eine begeisterte Stammkundin. Die schlechteren Bewertungen aus der jüngsten Vergangenheit (auf mehreren Reiseportalen) wollte ich nicht glauben. Jetzt musste ich mir aber eingestehen, dass der Sanierungsstau inzwischen wirklich groß ist und schon sehr sehr viele Gäste fernbleiben. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht mehr. Sehr traurige Entwicklung!
