Villa Borgo San Pietro ★★★★
"This hotel is really nice. It is situated in the country side, but less than 10 minutes away from Cortona in car. We had a really lovely room with a view, of Cortona. Our kids had a flat with a small garden, which was very ideal as well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Every morning for the breakfast they came around and asked which coffee we wanted, especially one of the women just remembered our choice and brought it with a big smile. The breakfast buffet was so lovely. At night we enjoyed a glass of wine in the patio, and that was very cozy as well. We enjoyed our stay here very much."
Villa di Piazzano - Small Luxury Hotels of the World ★★★★★
"I recently stayed at Villa Di Piazzano for my pre-wedding photoshoot, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly helpful from before arrival to departure. The villa is beautifully designed, and the restaurant serves exceptional food with a diverse breakfast spread. My stay was very comfortable, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The combination of stunning surroundings, delicious cuisine, and outstanding service makes Villa Di Piazzano a perfect destination for any occasion. I highly recommend it for a memorable and luxurious experience."
Monastero di Cortona Hotel & Spa ★★★★★
"It's a high-end hotel in the area with a beautiful lobby, two restaurants (one Michelin-starred), and indoor and outdoor bars. It's very clean and offers turndown service. However, it's a bit far from town and on a hilly road!"
Hotel San Luca ★★★★
"Just outside the village, quiet and private, with a good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff."
Hotel Villa Marsili ★★★★
"Very satisfied with a stay, the hotel is good in all aspects, adding color to this trip! Have the opportunity to come again, I hope the hotel can always stay excellent!"
Il Falconiere Relais & Spa ★★★★★
"Absolutely fabulous stay. The property is exquisite, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. This was the highlight of our trip, and I can’t wait to return "
Relais Villa Baldelli ★★★★
"The property is terribly neglected. The room has peeling walls, a faint smell of mold, and dusty furnishings. A half-curtain hanging from the window and the bedspread looked like they hadn't seen soap in a while. The bathroom is in terrible condition, with stains on the walls and rusty pipes. Everything looks old, poorly maintained, and dusty. The pool is beautiful, with almost dilapidated umbrellas, mismatched loungers, and stained pillows. The staff—very friendly—is minimal. I don't think anyone is on site at night, when the entrance gate is closed. We reported a few issues, and the excuse given was that the property is old and in the countryside; there's nothing more they can do. The breakfast was passable. The stay was depressing. I'll leave just one photo; I'm embarrassed to post the ones of the bathroom."
Hotel San Michele ★★★★
"Very good location of the hotel in the heart of the old city. Nice interior. Very good varied breakfast. You can ask for hot water for tea in your room. The fly in the ointment was the reluctance of the staff to try to help with reserving a place in the restaurant; in the end, we didn’t manage to have dinner at all"
Hotel Italia Cortona ★★★
"Ugly single room on the top floor. It was as if she lived in a dovecote. It’s not even like that, something between a dovecote and a cell. Small dark room with a view of the wall. The bed is like I'm in a barracks. Everything is uncomfortable. There is no stand for the suitcase. The View Room is only open for breakfast. Maybe there are better rooms. But I don't recommend a single room."

Casale l'Antico Carro
"Stayed in this farmhouse with my family and we had a great time! Warm, comfortable and clean! Below there is also a small restaurant where we ate very well! I recommend it to everyone for moments of relaxation and for a pleasant dinner"
Cortona Resort-Le Terre Dei Cavalieri
"What all the previous reviews have said is true about this magical farmhouse. We stayed just one night, which was a Sunday on our way to Rome and we were just one of the few guests there. When we arrived, though, there were two different Baptismal lunch parties being held which were quite festive and loud that went on into the early evening hours. When we attempted to check there was an older woman who happened to be the owner of the beautiful estate in the reception area on the phone and her demeanor was one of annoyance at either of us interrupting her or the large noisy groups in the restaurant area. Either way, she called over a charming younger woman who checked us in. We never saw the owner again, but her staff was perfectly charming and helpful in our short stay. The location is perfect down on the plains of Tuscany with Cortona looming over head on the mountain. It was a welcome respite from the crowds we had just encountered in Venice and Florence, and we enjoyed walking out into the countryside. "
Locanda Agli Amici
"Visited this lovely, quiet family run hotel with friends/couples early May. Spectacular views, immaculate very comfortable rooms. Outstanding locally produced food and high level of presentation in everything they do. Breakfast was wonderful to come down to and lovely terrace to sit out on. There is great attention to detail and care with everything done here. Sylvia looked after us very well and I wouldn't hesitate to return."
Locanda Del Molino
"I enjoy the quiet environment the inn offered. The breakfast is excellent, particularly the selection of fruits."
Dolce Maria
"So enjoyed Dolce Maria! This truly is CortonaStorica, just metres from the main piazza, a lovely old building. Our room, big warm and comfortable had spiral stairs up the tower to a great view over the town and valley. Paola was so welcoming. What a place to stay! "
