We were looking for an overnight accommodation in Cortez as were were visiting Mesa Verde and this hotel fit the ticket! Great location, easy check in and friendly staff! The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast hot, clean and full. For the price a good value hotel!

Decided to meet up with some friends for a long weekend. The pictures online of this hotel were accurate. Had a warm feeling, staff were friendly and accommodating. They had a breakfast area with a lot of tables. We did spend time in there playing cards during their off hours. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was average for a hotel. Great location for the different attractions in town. They did have a nice exercise room however both treadmills were not functioning properly. The belts were slipping.

This hotel is long overdue for renovations, and unfortunately, the ongoing work was happening in rooms near ours during our stay. Pros: • Convenient location close to Mesa Verde National Park • One bed was comfortable • Shower had good temperature and water pressure • TV worked without issue • Wi-Fi was reliable Cons: • Carpet is worn and needs to be replaced • Towels were thin, frayed, and in poor condition • Fitted sheet on one bed had stains; despite asking two different front desk staff to replace it, the sheets were never changed during our 4-night stay • Air conditioning unit was noisy (we managed by opening the window at night) • One lamp could only stand when propped against the wall • Room key card stopped working one day, even though I kept it separate from other cards; staff reprogrammed it but didn’t apologize • Exercise room key card only worked once out of four attempts, and staff had to let us in the other times; none of the TVs in the exercise room functioned • The bathroom fan in the room next door emitted a loud buzzing noise every time it was used, often for long stretches in the evening

The place was like a lodge instead of a hotel. The room was pretty big and comfortable. We had a nice mountain view. Sink is outside of the shower/toilet room which was convenient for us. Countertop was small though. Breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold selections. Well located to Mesa Verde National Park and Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. There was an indoor pool, which looked nice. They had towels. The fitness center and laundry room were across the parking lot. $1.50 wash and $.25 dry. They were renovating at the time and they still provided a nice experience.

I just wanted to write a review about one of the managers here and to let everyone know that Kadance Orr went above and beyond to help my wife and I last night. The air conditioner was not working properly and when maintenance would not come and help (I’ve worked mx so I know how that goes…when you’re off you’re off) Ms Orr came in on her off time and handled the situation professionally. So my wife and I salute you Ms Orr (if you see this).

The bed was extremely comfortable! Front desk staff was wonderful and breakfast was standard. Otherwise the hotel is quite in need of renovations. There are signs all over the hotel saying that they are undergoing renovations. We saw no sign of that happening yet, but it’s possible that they will be doing so in the near future? Microwave in room didn’t work and remote didn’t work for tv to turn on and off but we figured it out with buttons on side of tv.
