While staff were helpful and polite the physical facilities is Not an accurate reflection of the Fairfield brand. Lobby and halls were hot and humid while they had a dehumidifier at breakfast no one mentioned a disruption at checkin. Our group had two rooms one was warmer than we’d like and the other was nice and cool but smelled like mildew. Wobbly tables at breakfast as well. On the upside one of us forgot to follow through with the reservation but was able to snag one of two o lay rooms available when we pulled in at 11 pm. It’s clear the location can support a well booked hotel but owners aren’t investing in the property it seems

We’ve stayed at this hotel before without issue. However, here are the issues we encountered in this trip: Lobby and hallways obviously have an HVAC issue, as it was warm and humid with various mobile dehumidifiers around trying to cool and dehumidify the air. It was at least 76 degrees in the hallways. Our room- the mattress sheets and quilts seemed small and were not conducive to a good night’s sleep. They kept pulling up as if they were shrunk. The bathroom seems outdated and in need of an upgrade, but even worse- there was hair from a previous guest all over the conditioner and shampoo bottles in the bathtub, there was a leftover soap bar left on the tub, and there was an unwashed towel that had hair from a previous guest as well. We did not see this until the morning, as we checked in and did not make use of the bathroom until later in our stay. Had we observed this after check in, we would have asked to be moved to a different room. We did not let the staff know of our issues because there was no remedy for it after the fact. We had to check out at 715am to be somewhere for a girl’s softball tournament. As I was leaving the hotel and trying to grab a coffee to go in the lobby, the worker was adding cream to the station. She seemed unbothered by me waiting on her and even seemed to move at a snail’s pace in putting creamers at the coffee station. Lastly, there were workers who were smoking at the front door as people were exiting. I believe that workers should be prohibited from smoking on premises, but at the very least should not be doing it at the front door. The facade for the pass thru at check in is damaged and needs repaired. The food at breakfast was adequate, although the area was small. The pillows in the room were fine, and the mattress was fine. Having the fridge was convenient. The TV was comically tiny for the room. Lastly- I was not greeted as a Bonvoy Gold Member. Those of you who are loyal to hotel rewards programs know that this is a huge customer service no-no. All in all, this was a very disappointing stay for us. I used points and this was a reward night, so it’s tough to complain. However, there is a Hampton Inn in this town that is much newer and cleaner than this Fairfield. I’ve stayed at the Hampton, but wanted to use my points for the reward at Fairfield. It was a rewards night with a fair amount of points for the hotel and the location, so it was seemingly a good fit. But I won’t stay at this hotel again- the Hampton is a better hotel, and there are other options at that exit: Holiday Inn Express, for example. We know a lot of people who stop for the night in Cordele, either passing through or for softball tournaments. I don’t think I can recommend this hotel for anyone after this experience. That’s a shame, because I am a loyal Bonvoy customer and always look for Bonvoy hotels first above anything else. FYI- I let Bonvoy know about all of this- pretty much word for word- in an email on Saturday

This hotel is old and badly in need of updates. It's not the cleanest either. The juice machine had mold. The furniture and carpets in our room were stained and dirty- there are others better options in this area and to should choose one of those.

When checking in (at 11:30pm), I was informed that they were out of complimentary bottles of water. After going to our room for our family of five, we found no bedding for the pullout sofa, only a sheet. We had reserved a room for 5 though. When I called the front desk, the lady on night duty told me there was a blanket shortage and there was nothing she could do. When I asked about a rollaway, she said she couldn’t do that either. I would think if a hotel was having a “blanket shortage”, they would make sure that their rooms sleeping five would have the extra blankets instead of rooms with only one person in them. Because it was already late and we have three kids we didn’t want to load back in the car we stayed and my 12 year old slept under towels. But we felt stuck and I was very frustrated that we were offered no help or solution. The next morning when we spoke to the manager, she offered us 10% off, which did not seem enough. She told us she would talk to someone else about getting a higher discount but we still haven’t heard anything. It’s been a week, so I don’t think we will. I didn’t think the hotel was clean or well kept so I skipped breakfast.

When we entered the room we found that the closet door was broken and that there was no luggage rack. When I went to get the ice bucket I found that it was half full of water, I assume from a previous guest. Then later that evening the TV quit working. When I spoke to the clerk at the desk Iwas told to unplug everything and that it might come back on. I was also told that the internet provider had been replacing boxes earlier and hadn’t gotten to all the rooms. Then why were they not telling us prior to sending us to our rooms. A poor way to run a franchise!!!

No Heated Pool like I was told
I was told before booking the room that there was a heated pool, the only reason for booking. When I got there, No heated pool and they said it was heated. My granddaughter froze in the water!!
