Disappointed by the stay. Location wasn’t as central as I had thought. Breakfast simple but not worth the additional cost. Ceiling lighting fell down and could have caused a serious injury. Asked for 5am wake up call and didn’t receive call until 5:15am.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Bryggen Guldsmeden Hotel in July 2025, where I booked a Standard Room. My experience was thoroughly enjoyable and memorable.
The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile, which made my stay even more comfortable. The room was impeccably clean, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. One of the standout features was the beautiful, warm pool that provided a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring and metro station is 5 minutes walk.
Overall, I would rate my stay at Bryggen Guldsmeden Hotel a solid 9/10. The combination of excellent service, clean accommodations, and a relaxing pool area makes it a hotel I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Such a beautiful hotel! Comfortable room - great view and lovely bathroom. The smart shower was new for me. Great bar downstairs and little break-out areas on each floor. I loved that there’s a sauna and swimming pool. In a good area too, not right in the middle of the city but easy to reach.

My husband & I just stayed here for 4 nights & I do not think we could have picked a better hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well, the entrance to the hotel was gorgeous & I just knew it would be through, which it was. Our room was lovely, so much character like the whole hotel. The gym, pool & spa were so nice, I couldn’t say a bad word about this hotel. All the team there were amazing but I would like to give special mention to Philippa @ reception for her amazing help, Marina & the bar for being just fabulous, Connor the manager who really made us feel welcome & was just awesome, Bretta in the restaurant who was lovely & Neill’s, possibly one of the most wonderful men we’ve met, amazing at his job & just a delight. We will definitely stay here again

Superb hotel, great staff, amazing food. I read the reviews before I came and was wondering what it might be but honestly, I'm not sure which hotel those people were staying in. For what I paid I had a great time, seriously - I do a lot of work travel and stay in a lot of different big nasmes brand hotels - this was for a city break and the breakfast was 10x better than any chain hotels.
