"Copacabana is a beautiful place to visit. What ruins a traveler's experience is a hotel like Rosario del Lago. My worst experience there was finding a rodent under my bed; the smell was terrible. I reported the incident to the reservations manager, but they took no action, or at least didn't apologize. It's a beautiful hotel, but the cleanliness and hygiene are appalling. My recommendation would be to hire better staff who actually know how to do their jobs and stop ruining a hotel that is beautiful but poorly maintained."

"I booked the hotel because it was close to the Peru Hop meeting point. The check in was ok. The room was clean. In the room there there were no heating system. The bathroom was old, the warm water was enough warm (around 16-18 Celcius), and the cables are above my head, used only tapes. It did not seem secure. In the evening I could not open my room. I tried to reach someone from the hotel, but sobody was in the hotel or at the reception. I called the number, what they gave, but no answer for almost 40-45 minutes. That was negative, because they told me, that they have constant reception service. I can NOT recommend this hotel. For that money, just use an other one."

"We were welcomed by Sky Lake during a social conflict in Copacabana, Bolivia, when roads and lakes were blocked, preventing people from leaving, for 6 days. The staff is very attentive."

Hotel Perla del Lago ★★★

"Bolivia redefines what basic is, Hotel Perla del Lago is a very basic hotel, shower took sometime to heat up and the water pressure was non existent. Breakfast was average at best, found long black hairs in the bathroom and the bedding was stained. The plug socket in the room needed to be urgently fixed. Booked through Bolivia Hop’s two day/one night tour of Copacabana & Isla del Sol."
