We stayed from Oct 3-Oct 6 and chose this location because of it's proximity to Charlotte Motor Speedway but if we go to a race there again we will not be staying at this motel. The place was filthy and smelled terrible. The first room we went to smelled of cigarette smoke even though the room was a non-smoking room and I think all the rooms at this place are non-smoking. We were given another room, 239, and that room smelled like something rotten. After we were in our room and settling in for the night the hotel staff just opened our room door and entered without knocking! His reply was "oh sorry I forgot which room I put you in". The shower barley worked, the tub drain was clogged and by the time we took a shower the water was mid-way up my lower legs. The freezer in the fridge was covered on the inside by 3-4 inches of ice. The outside of the fridge was covered in rust. Most of the electrical outlets were pulled away from the walls and when I plugged in my phone charger into one it sparked. The beds looked like some sort of fold out bed you'd use for extra company and were not comfortable at all. The shelf between the beds was held together with poorly placed sheetrock screws. The air conditioner was terrible and did not work. The hallway floors were sticky and smelled as well. We had numerous encounters with cock roaches. I will attach pictures of all I found.

When I walked into my room it smelled musty. I couldn’t get the air conditioner to turn on the fan until I reset the switch. There were dents in the walls and when I went to check the bed for bed bugs, I saw a roach on the floor and stains on the bed sheets. I immediately reached out to the travel company I booked the room in and asked for a refund and cancellation. I didn’t feel comfortable even sitting down that I stood while I kept losing service on my phone until the agent confirmed they would refund me. I then went to a much higher rated hotel right down the road.

The other people in the rooms are very noisy and inconsiderate. Also people live there so babies always crying not much sleep or quiet
