WoodSpring Suites Columbus NE I-270 Airport

I was in columbus visiting my mom. I usually stay in the new albany area. Well this aint new albany:) It is more affordable and the hotel itsself is a nice chain. Rooms are small but they have a decent bed and a full fridge. Good shower. No breakfast. Most of the people staying there seemed to be construction workers in town, maybe working around the airport. The area had 3 other hotels and this was probably the lesser of those. But it still wasn;t too bad and fairly cheap.

Stinky and Noisy! Don't say I didn't warn you fellow traveler. I stayed here Sept 2025 for a medical appointment in the area. I actually paid extra for a nonsmoking room, which made absolutely no difference. It stank like cigarettes, mold, and I don't know what, but it sure was unpleasant. It hit the minute I stepped in the entrance and only went downhill from there. The night clerk was unfriendly to say the least. I asked him when breakfast was, He said, "We don't do breakfast" in a very unpleasant tone. I said, "Oh, OK, do you recommend a place around here for breakfast?" and he replied, "I don't eat breakfast." I know they probably pay and treat you like sh*t, and that's terrible, but geez I didn't have anything to do with that. This place is right next to a highway, and it has one of those cardboard constructions where you hear EVERYTHING! Between the overwhelmingly bad smell and the noise of the highway, people in the halls talking and partying, hearing every step of your neighbors above, etc. I didn't get one wink of sleep. I actually think I'd been better off just sleeping in my car in a parking lot. It was very run down and fairly dirty. The next place I stayed at in Dublin, Ohio was the same price, but quiet, clean, and friendly. So not a good value!

There was a poop stain on my sheets, the floor was sticky, the shower was gross, mold in the corners, tv didn’t work, lights were awkward and/or didn’t work.

We ended up not staying. Lobby filthy. Entrance dark and dirty. Waited 17 minutes and finally gave up as there was no desk ckerk.

I didn’t choose carefully. The room was filthy and upstairs someone was stomping on the floor for hours.

I tried to check in at 6 pm and had to wait at the front desk for almost 30 minutes before i was helped. The gentlemen on staff did communicate that he was running behind but I had an entire line of people behind me also waiting. On top of that, all of my towels were dirty, looked like they were run over by something and there was splatter all over the wall
