Tru by Hilton Columbus Airport

I was left without a room at a hotel where my reservation was originally made and literally walked out of that dump not knowing if I would have to sleep in my car. There was a Tru by Hilton hotel across the street so I walked in without a reservation and inquired about a room for the night. I was greeted by Lydia, and my experience just went uphill from there! She is amazing, with a great personality and super friendly! I had never stayed in a Tru hotel before, but I will definitely be doing so in the future! I am so grateful that Lydia saved the day for me! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone thanks to her!!!

Vandalism with no response from management. We were in Columbus for a concert on a Saturday thru Sunday stay (July 26-27). Upon leaving on Sunday morning we noticed glass all over the parking lot and reached our truck to realize we had been hit as well. We took pictures and video and went back in to report the crime. We were told the GM Jermaine would be in early the next day. We called and he hadn’t arrived. He has not replied to any messages (phone or email) and this is Thursday. We are Hilton honors members and the lack of concern, communication and security makes this incident feels like a double violation.

No Shampoo in Shower and a number of Electri Outle Hotel staff very friendly. However room was very small and too small for a King bed. No shampoo in shower container so had to wash my hair with regular soap. A number of electric outlets in the room did not work. Also a lot of road noise even late at night. Will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice now in the last six months, both times have exceeded expectations and its fantastic for us because its close to family who lives in the area.

The Tru fumbled airport shuttle The hotel is great looking and very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The room doors I think are fire resistant: they are VERY heavy to open. I think due to this weight we heard doors shutting most of the night. We had to leave the hotel at 5AM for our flight. The Tru advertises 24 hour shuttle service to the airport; we inquired at check-in and were assured there was no problem. Getting to the lobby at 4:45AM we were told no shuttle until 7AM. They have a printed sign telling how to get in touch with Lyft, Uber or a Taxi. This leads me to believe that the early morning shuttle no-show is not a rare occurrence at The Tru.We had to pay, not the hotel for the Lyft/Taxi ... $20. One if our reasons for selecting our stay here was for that shuttle service 24 hours a day advertised. If it were not for this shuttle service feasco we would have given The Tru all excellent ratings but simply cannot excuse the shuttle service deception.
