Moxy Columbus Short North

Staff was helpful and courteous. Rooms very small, but doable. There was a mini fridge, but no coffee or tea service.

Awesome hotel, great service and clean rooms. But if you are visiting and want to sleep at night do NOT book at the Moxy. We stayed on the sixth floor and it was so loud from the rooftop bar our windows were shaking. Noise didn’t quiet down until about 2:30-3AM

I believe that this hotel would be a perfect hotel for someone who is looking for where the nightlife is in Columbus. To start, the bartenders/check-in was a fun little touch and the bartender was amazing. The elevators are a bit odd in that there are only door open and close buttons on the inside of the elevators. You have to think about what floor and input it before ever getting onto the elevator. The room I got was a corner balcony room on floor 6. The room was spacious but minimalist. I chuckled when I saw the Barcardi can in the unicorn floatie on the fridge. The balcony view I got was amazing. Also, when I was walking around in the area there are SO many restaurants, bars, and shops. Similar to other reviews, I can say that it is just loud in this section of the city. There were people driving with their bass on their car at high volumes, bars blaring their music. If you are looking for a great night out and a close hotel, this is your place. I am just exploring Columbus trying to find out more about the city. I wasn’t looking for a noisy area. So, I did keep the provided sound machine on, and thank goodness I always carry earplugs. We did have a storm roll by that pushed all the outdoor furniture onto the balcony. It wedged itself up against the balcony door so I was unable to open it. I was hoping to sit outside with the provide lid Barcardi and watch the sun set. So, I called down to the front desk around 8 pm. The person who picked up was very pleasant, said they would send someone right up. I waited and waited and waited, but no one ever came. I tried to call down again around 8:45 but no answer. I figured that with it being a bar on a Friday that they weee probably packed. So, I used my ingenuity and after a bit more time I was able to put the furniture back and sit outside. Overall, nice staff, I thought the bed was comfortable, a lot of fun decor, just the noise was a little much for me.

Room on 9th floor below 10th floor bar. Incredibly noisy and could hear every time toilets flushed above which was constant. Also obvious water damage on walls and ceiling in the room. Shameful for a Marriott brand. Intoxicated obnoxious people on elevators as well.

Bed was comfortable. We went for a room with a terrace and the terrace wound up being almost as large as the room. Room was clean but VERY SMALL with no closet and some pegs on the wall to hang items. Food options were close and very good. I think this is a "chic" hotel option for many but we prefer a more traditional and larger room so I don't think we'll go back for that reason alone. Limited interaction with staff but they were friendly upon checking in.

Clean your sidewalks! Property around the hotel was REALLY dirty- I think due to homeless population. . Also, parking is an up charge. Valet is $25. - Public parking is $35. for a 24 hour stay.
