Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbus West

My girlfriend and I stayed here on a recent trip to Columbus and I can’t say it was a pleasant experience. Bathroom lighting was very dim, TV in our room didn’t work, elevators were broken so we had to take stairs to the top floor, and food items for breakfast were expired. But the major problem I experienced occurred during checkout. I couldn’t use my Hilton app to checkout because I was told that I had to resolve some issues at the front desk. When I went to the front desk I was questioned by the clerk about the identity of my girlfriend and asked if she was traveling with me. Really? Being questioned about someone traveling with me to be allowed to checkout? I was stunned that someone would ask something like that and my girlfriend was absolutely insulted at the questions. We’ll definitely stay elsewhere on our next trip to Columbus.

Staff were very nice and accommodating. The facility was great beautiful. Ending enjoyed their stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again the next time I'm in Columbus.

Not sure I'd stay here again. First room (day 1) the refrigerator was dripping water inside, switched rooms before unpacking. Second room (day 3) the carpet was wet. Repacked to switch rooms. Third room was ok. After the third switch I only had 2 more night, so I accepted the room as is. I found it odd that there's no conditioner in the shower, only shampoo and shower gel. My credit card was charged for the full amount on day 3 of my 6 day stay. Other hotels I've stayed at charge at the end of the stay. (Kicker: They put someone in the wet carpet room 2 days after I switched out of it. They had no time to dry the carpet.)

The staff here at Home2 are exceptional. They are kind, helpful, pleasant (even when I come to breakfast with less than 10 minutes left), cheerful and accommodating. I’m talking about the different people at the counter for check-in, the breakfast staff, maintenance, and cleaning staff. I have felt so welcome! The hotel is clean. Rooms have enough space and the counters, shelves, clothes storage, and kitchenette are very good. Beds are comfy. Breakfast are delicious, including a selection of proteins. The exercise room got my attention, too. Nice set of free weights and a bench, and some other weighted equipment and a few cardio machines. I highly recommend this hotel! I would stay again. In fact, this Home2 now put the Home2 hotels on my stay at list, when searching for a hotel. Thank you staff and management! You are doing an excellent work here.

Great staff and clean rooms. A+ rating. Would highly recommend staying here for short or extended stays. Minutes from expressway and plenty of food options.

Was there for a concert. Went to check in at 3:00 and room was not ready. Never received a digital key (kept saying room was in progress). When I got back from the concert I waited for someone at the front desk and no one came. Finally another staff member came by and got the gentleman that was supposed to be checking me in. Stay was nice, but check in was a hassle
