Stayed here in 2024 for a hockey tournament. Posting this now because another is coming up and I was having PTSD flashbacks from this hotel, and never did at the time. It’s extremely old. I don’t think anything has been updated in 25 years, and no change from current reviews since that time. We arrived late at night after driving through a blizzard so no delay checking in. The door of the room looked like someone hacked in to it from the outside with a screwdriver. Massive gouges by the handle. That was the first red flag. It gets worse… Then in the room, clumps of hair on the floor and sheets under the blankets. I had to get new linens and turn down the room myself. Food on the floor, a leftover costume bracelet, some random previous guest’s navy color washcloth in the shower - nothing was wiped down in the room itself or bathroom and they did not vacuum. The ceiling of the shower was also crumbling and likely had tons of black mold behind it, and the water was super slow to drain. It was at least hot. No exhaust vent was in the shower to prevent these issues. The chair in the room had what looked like a male bodily fluid stain on it, and the adjoining room door did not lock. It was also damaged on the both sides. Luckily they were part of the team so it wasn’t a safety issue but if not, that would have been a big problem with just this mom and her young kid. The key cards did work and our vehicles weren’t broken into. Breakfast was okay but nothing spectacular. They also hit me with a surprise “gift shop” charge for over $20 and refused to remove it. There was no gift shop! And I didn’t buy anything from their options as I think they did sell drinks, not from the bar/restaurant or charge a single thing to the room. Check your itemized bill before you pay at checkout! Another family was charged $100 from the bar for 1 drink. I’ve heard it’s under new ownership but appears to be even worse now. Seriously, choose any other hotel. This place is terrifying and you feel like you need a shower and travel items pest treatment after staying there.

Positive note: comfortable bed and pillows. Neagative notes: No dresser in the room, no drawers to put your clothes. What hotel room doesn't have a a dresser? There were two closets so I guess you could put non hanging clothes on the shelf over the rod, but one of them was hung so crooked I think they'd have fallen off. The toilet and shower are in a room separate from the sink, which is fine, but there were no shelves and no hooks in there so the only place you could put your towel or clothes would be on the floor or on the toilet! Bathroom door handle was loose and about to fall off. The door handle to the adjoining room (which we did not use) was actually falling off/hanging by one screw. The security door latch to the hallway door was pulling out of the door frame. Returned to our room one of the days after being out the entire day and never received housekeeping. There was a Kuerig coffee maker in the room and the provided one pod of regular coffee and one decaf. That's it. So two non-decaf coffee dinkers had to fight over the one! No tea, no second option of coffee... And the lobby wreaked of cigarette smoke. Most definantely will not be returning to this hotel.
