I travel a lot for business and have been at many hotels. I have never seen such poor management and customer service from the front desk staff. 1. I was with a group followed the protocol and booked after talking with Kevin through the website. I was charged a higher rate bc all the rooms were booked. I had several in my group that booked after me (even 2 days prior to the event) that got the lower rate. When I asked the manager all he said was “Sorry to hear that”. Did not even try to make any restitution. 2. I was in a Double Queen and was given only 2 bath towels. When I asked the front desk staff, I was told they were out bc there were so many groups (which they obviously knew were coming). 3. The website says free parking but we were charged a fee for parking. I was made aware of this by a printed out flyer in the front desk. No mention of this elsewhere. 4. I left an item behind that was needed. When I called I was told there was nothing they could do that no one turned in anything in to them. When I asked about maintenance or security I was told that no one else would be in. I drove 2 hours to look myself. Again the front staff barely put down the book they were reading and reiterated there was nothing they could do - no one to call, no way to help. Another staff member passed by and saw I was visibly upset and that getting the item was vital due to overhearing the conversation. He then worked to problem solve pulling in other staff members when he didn’t have the resources or knowledge and found my missing item. It wasn’t his job (& I wish I had his name) but he showed extreme care and kindness - which felt like a rarity at this hotel. The manager was made aware of all the circumstances and it felt like all he did was blow me off the entire time on the phone. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The Good: -This is a very convenient location if you're going to the airport. It's literally right across the street. We had a 6 AM flight and thought we'd depart from a hotel rather than our home, as we usually do. This hotel is perfect for that. -The staff (for the most part) were all very nice and kind. -There's a little happy hour in the lobby. While it's not the fanciest happy hour, they had beer, wine, and well liquors along with some light snacks. -Our room was nice and spacious, and the bed was comfortable -The shuttle TO the airport was great. The shuttle driver was available on demand (we waited maybe 3 minutes), and he was quite friendly. It couldn't have been easier. Areas to Improve -While this property is nice, it's definitely aging and could use some updates -Returning from our trip, we were initially told to call the shuttle via the courtesy phone in the airport. However, we were informed that the phone had been discontinued, so I had to call the hotel for the shuttle—no big deal. I was told it'd be 10 minutes. We waited close to 45 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. I thought about taking an Uber. I paid for the sleep and fly service- I didn't want to pay $25 to take a 3-minute Uber... -While the majority of the staff were nice, when I called for the shuttle, the person who answered the phone seemed annoyed or rattled. I'm wondering if she had several calls for the shuttle or something. She would ask me a question but then cut me off before I could answer it. Not the best interaction. Summary Overall, the experience was fine. I don't know that I would stay here again, mainly because of the shuttle situation on the way back from our trip. No one wants to wait 45 minutes after an extremely long day of travel. But the hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We used some of our Hilton Honors points to pay for our room, bringing the price down to $65. But for $180, which I believe is the going rate for the hotel... you might find a better option. Still, if you just need to sleep and get to the hotel, this place will accomplish your goal.

This was my second stay at this hotel, also stayed there last year (early October 2024). Came back because we had a positive experience the first year. In 2024 staff were pleasant, facilities were clean and well kept, pool was clean, breakfast was good and the area was conveniently located to the event we were attending. The quality seems to have slipped significantly in a year's time, and perhaps they are understaffed. The furniture in the room was very banged up and while the carpet and bathroom wall paper gave the impression the rooms have been updated in the last 5-10 years the overall vibe was rather rundown. Repairing furniture blemishes with sharpie marker and the urine and nosebleed stains on the sofa sleeper mattress (which was absurdly uncomfortable) along with the pink, slimy stuff on the shower head and sticky substance on the headboard were rather stomach turning. The pool area seemed clean, but the pool itself felt slimy and there was black stuff throughout on the lining (mildew, dirt, who knows). They also seem to have a wasp problem because the windows inside and out were covered with them. The breakfast was good and well stocked, but the trash cans were literally heaping (so much trash that people had taken to setting it on the ground because you couldn't go any higher). Employees walked by several times and did nothing about it. There are plenty of options in the Columbus area, if you are looking for clean, well maintained and comfortable I would look elsewhere.

Our Family Reunion was the weekend of August8-10 in Columbus Ohio. The chosen hotel was Embassy Suite of Hilton Columbus Airport...my reserved room number was 412..loved the layout of the room. Since reservations were booked through the hotel, I wasn't aware it was pet friendly and had an allergic reaction, not having this information. I am allergic to the dandruff of animals. Upon further inspection of the room, the dust ruffles were filthy, and the beds were poorly made, the wooden part of the floor wasn't clean at all (I like walking barefoot while inside). The tabletop was sticky, and pet hair was visible on the sofa. I used one of the large towels to sit on...a light bulb was missing from one of the lamps in the room. The staff members on duty at the time were pleasant and accommodating and very professional, which made my stay comfortable. On Friday evening, I approached the bar to order a drink and the barmaid from the pits of HELL ...stood behind the counter...she was rude, unpleasant, unkind, impolite, uncourteous and pushy....I definitely DID not go back for another drink. My family and I enjoyed being able to come together once again, which mattered the most.

I have stayed at this property on multiple occasions and it’s always excellent. Friendly staff and clean and well designed rooms make for a great stay. Troy the van driver is always ready at the airport when we arrive and makes a great first impression to the hotel. Highly recommend this property.

The hotel property is pretty nice and the proximity to the airport is great. But the staff needs some work. Before I got to the hotel I tried messaging them through the app and got zero response. I arrived at the hotel pretty early and my room wasn’t ready yet, so I went to do some work in the lobby while I waited. I looked around for a cup of coffee in the lobby and there was none. I asked the desk agent and was told “Embassy Suites never has coffee in the lobby, that’s only a Hampton thing.” They do. All the time. In every Embassy Suites I’ve ever stayed in. But the desk agent wanted to argue with me about it, so I just walked away. Then in the morning I went to the gym and saw that it was almost completely inoperable. All three of the treadmills were broken, the Peloton was dead, and one of the ellipticals was broken. Only two ellipticals and the recumbent bike were working. A few people had to leave because there was nothing for them to use. All in all, if they make some improvements at the front desk and improve their maintenance I’d happily stay here again, but until then I’ll stay somewhere else.

We were put in room with no air condition and the next the power went out and we was bad in the same boat.
