Hampton Inn by Hilton Columbus Downtown

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting downtown Columbus. It's close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are very small though, without much room to spread out. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I did find it strange that in the lobby area, they turn off all the lights after breakfast is finished. Not very inviting to sit and watch the tv's.

The background: my mom hadn’t seen her brother (ages 73 and 72, respectively) since Christmas. So we decided to do an overnight visit. My mom is differently abled (disabled) and is in a motorized wheelchair. The arrival: We didn’t get there until very late, however Ms. Ellen greeted us at 10pm as if it was 12 noon. She was bubbly and helpful and even cracked a joke. I was tired and sleepy yet her interaction made all that melt away. She even stepped outside to inform us about parking and how to access the accessible ramp for my mom‘s wheelchair. Breakfast/Departure: after Ms. Ellen had set the tone, I had expected nothing but excellence. and that is exactly what I got. The breakfast staff were very friendly and kept the breakfast full. The food was hot and I especially loved the bacon. After breakfast, we ask the front desk staff Ms Jane and Ms. Jenny if we could visit with my aunt and uncle in the lobby. They happily consented. My mom was able to bond with her brother a few more hours before we had to leave Columbus. Lastly, I cannot leave out that Kiara from housekeeping was also kind and friendly, as I had to pass her housekeeping cart several times One of the best stays of my life! THANK YOU ALL LADIES!!!!

This hotel exceeded my expectations! Not sure if it was recently renovated but it looked brand new! The carpet, walls, ceiling, everything was spotless! 10/10!

Had an excellent stay for two nights at this Hampton Inn. Parking was super convenient (for a small fee). It's two blocks to the Columbus Riverwalk, right on Broadway, so convenient to everything downtown. Rooms were clean and the property was well-maintained. Someone checked in to make sure everything was okay, and reception staff always welcomed me with a big smile and "hello" every time I entered. Would stay there again 10/10.

The rooms ate clean and modern. The area around the hotel has stores and great options for dining. There is a relaxing riverwalk and interesting architecture in the area. The area has many historical aspects to explore.

We had a wonderful stay. The Hampton Inn was close to restaurants and walking distance to the bike trail. The staff was wonderful and it was very clean and quiet!
