Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus/Near Fort Moore

My daughter and her friend put a deposit down for a double queen bed, and when they arrived, the walls in the bathroom had a lot of black mold, and both beds had a ton of black mold spots on the sheets. She video called me and was showing me, practically in tears because the room was so bad. I told her that she needed to call the front desk and let them know because she has breathing issues and laying in a bed with black mold spots and mold on the walls is not healthy for her (actuallyfor anyone for that matter). The front desk showed her 2 other rooms and the walls in the bathroom, and by the window had black mold, and one of the beds had areas where it was yellowish and crusty. She was in that establishment for about an hour and said she didn't feel comfortable staying there. The front desk person said "I don't blame you" I was floored that they even said that to her!!!! Then, they wouldn't even refund her deposit. This is very disappointing to see and hear, especially when families come here to mainly see their loved ones graduate bootcamp.

Trash cans had plastic bag hanging on sides instead of inside the trash can as it should. I checked out on 5/30/25 and did not receive my 100 dollars deposit for 2 rooms I booked . Room 216 and 217. The receptionist told me 216 had make up/ hair dye stains on them so no refund . I don’t wear makeup and didn’t dye my hair. I asked for proof and any pictures. The 50 dollar deposit for 216 was never refunded either. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company ( chase). My sister stayed in 220 and asked for towels on May 28 and didn’t get any till next day. I was told after we check out we will get our deposit back if there’s no damage in the rooms. We didn’t get the deposit even though we didn’t trash or damage anything. We’re not barbarians out to destroy hotel rooms. We stayed there for my nephew’s graduation at Fort Benning. What a shame to deny my deposits.. Stay away from this hotel if you want clean rooms and your 50 dollar deposit back!!

James was a big help during our stay. Very friendly young man. He made our stay a lot better. The rooms were fine and quiet. Close to the army base so it was in the perfect location. It was close to everything. So restaurants ect were close by!!!!

The property was okay, room wasn’t as clean, bed slept horribly, upon checking out 2 young guys was talking to a gentleman behind the counter the language they was using on a Sunday morning Easter at that was wild

This is a convenient little gem right near base. Excellent, friendly staff. Clean, quiet rooms. We will absolutely come again
