We found this place at 2am in the early morning after a long day of traveling. We were fortunate to get a ground floor room close to the front entrance with parking in front of the room. The room was clean, the bed was firmer than needed and the shower was clean as well. They served a basic continental breakfast in an clean environment. Bob at the am desk shift was helpful with sending back my sleep mask back through priority mail to California. Thank you for sending my sleep mask. Now I can sleep in peace.

Finding this with the best price I was concerned about the quality - that it wouldn't be a place I actually wanted to stay. But I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean and well maintained. I actually enjoyed the rest, the shower, and the breakfast waffles. I interacted with the staff when checking in and then for breakfast and they were very pleasant and welcoming.

Room smelled like a stale cigarette, dirty wash rags hanging in the shower, food in the sheets. Simply disgusting! Cable box was unplugged, took a half hour to even load. Floors don’t even look like they have been cleaned in days. Definitely not a place for children!

holy crap....who would ever say this was good for the price?? i would rather sleep outside. filthy blankets, non smoking was like a cigar parlor with the smoke arlarm covered with a plastic bag. of course no one notice when the DIDNT CLEAN THE ROOM. i had funds in bank waiting to clear so i had NO choice. MONEY IN, TAKING UBER first thing in morning.. NO WIFI IN FAR ROOMS AND REFUSED TO ADMIT THERE WAS A PROBLEM!!!! UUUUGGGGFHHH. TOOK PICS TO SEND THE FRANCHISE CORP. have lots of pics but my phone wont transfer. i will get my kids to help with that when i complain to corp.

the room looks ok, but there is some broken sockets, the fridge didn't have freezer compartment, and it is continuously leaking water out. The breakfast time is 6-9 am, but only plain cheerio and bagel, worse than normal basic continental breakfast.

I can't even put this review on the Econo Lodge Website because we hadn't made a prior reservation and we left so abruptly. We were on a long trip and stopped in Albany for overnight, found the Econo Lodge and stopped in. The man had a room, but wouldn't give us a senior discount, said only the manager could do that, and he wouldn't be there until the next morning. But we took the room anyhow, hoping to negotiate with the manager later. As we were unloading our things, a VERY loud siren started blaring. Turns out there's a fire station across the street. Okay, that's on us, and I'm not intending this as a complaint, only mentioning for informational purposes. It was late, so we dropped things off, went to supper, then to the mall to get some exercise. When we got back, and were getting ready for bed, my husband looked in the bathroom and saw a VERY large colony of mold over the shower head (picture included)! Needless to say, we didn't want to stay in that room, but the man at the desk wouldn't give us another, said he was booked (although there were very few cars in the lot at 11 PM). But he did say he wouldn't charge us for the room. So we threw everything in the car and drove down the street to another hotel. When we got home, we reported the conditions in our room to the New York State Department of Health.

I found this place to be clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the busy location. My room had a coffee maker, and I was glad to be able to park right outside my door. I’m taking off a star for general shabbiness and wear. Like, the security latch was broken, the door stuck, and there was a general need for paint/deep cleaning. The location wasn’t exactly Cental but there was a great kebab restaurant right across the street. I’d stay here again if I was in the area and could get the same rate.
