"This is a VERY nice hotel that we were told just opened in September of last year. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool water was warm even though we didn't get a chance to swim this time. The beds were comfortable and had pillows that were very comfortable as well. If we ever have to stay in Mattoon again, we will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel."

"What a gem The Charleston House is. If you are looking for a cozy, clean and relaxing place to stay in the Charleston area, look no further! My husband and I stayed for one night in the newly renovated bed and breakfast and enjoyed a comfortable bed with amazing linens, a large bathroom with some fantastic soap and shampoo and topped it all with a delicious breakfast! The owner, Joshua was accommodating to an earlier check in and we enjoyed our conversation with him about the history of this bed and breakfast. We will definitely be back when we are in town to visit family!"
