Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort

We own a timeshare here and spend up to 2 weeks a year here, lots to do in the area. Hotel needs a better restaurant to get a 5 star review. Located across from the beach, new water park is very small

Arrived after a very long day's travel from the UK. Check in was good, nice reception and front of house staff. Room was more like a house. Good kitchen, dining area, lounge two double bedrooms and bath with shower. Although Westgate is on a very busy road, there was virtually zero traffic noise which was surprising. The is a bar and food at the rear of the building along with a spa, small children's pool and a larger one. Plus a water splash area. A nice added was the free shuttle bus that runs between 11am to 9pm every 15 minutes that takes you to Cocoa Beach and Pier. Well worth the visit. A special mention goes out to the bus driver Big Ray....top man.

The grounds and pools are kept clean and exceptional. Front desk was professional and good. This time I was with 3 senior citizens, 2 had mobility issues. 1st room on the 2nd floor, felt like we were at a motel facing the road - not part of the resort and the traffic noise didn't foster a relaxing energy. We were told by the front desk, that was one of their best rooms. 2 of us are owners and knew different. We were given wrong ID bracelets non-owners. 2nd room we were moved to, better location, but smelled musty. I was working on my laptop late, sitting at the dining table an hear "drip, drip, drip" I heard the upstairs guest flush their toilet then heard a rush of drips. The upstairs toilet was dripping! The noise was coming in from the living room vent. When we left our room and came back, the musty smell was very noticable. When we go home it permeated all of our clothes and in our suitcases. The Westgate beach service shuts down early 4:30pm and easily if there is a little rain for a minute or so. The Rikki Tikki Tavern on the Pier was never open because "it's too windy", it wasn't. The staff also expressed that things felt like they've taken a turn since the passing of David A. Siegel (Westgate founder) We don't come often, 4 times in the past 10 years. So it was disappointing, but things happen.

The room was steps from the beach. We did have a few roaches but they came under the door from the grass area being beachfront. The staff is 100/100 attentive and caring. I give them a 5star! Room Is clean beside our beach critters. I NEVER give bugs a pass but I know they are from the beach grass not the hotel being filthy. The hotel buildings (beside bldg 7) are overrun …a disaster of little yelling kids n drunk loud parents. Staying in bldg 7 is your best bet. It was trashy. Location is surrounded by fast food and not Much to do. Nothing Fancy very no frills low budget beach trip.

Decent place. Spacious 2/2 with full kitchen and living room. A bit dated but clean. No room service and food stops at 830. Drinks are overpriced, overall a decent experience. Walking distance to the beach. Great location! Great for kids!

My sheets were disgustingly dirty. I didn’t notice the dirt/bugs in the bottom of my sheets until the next morning. I couldn’t understand why I felt all itchy until I pulled the blankets off the bed and saw the black specks all over by my feet. I also had to remove all of my things when they came in to fumigate the bugs crawling around my dresser. The front desk manager said she appreciated the pictures and videos I sent of my room so that it could be a good teaching experience for her staff. Yes I still I had to pay for my dirty room. Never again will I stay there.
