Had a very good time it’s a clean hotel

Needs an update

Last minute booking due to a cancellation at another hotel… we were supposed to get an “equivalent room” which was a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen facing the ocean… we were first put into 2 separate rooms on the street side but they did move us to 2 rooms on the o wan side when we asked. The rooms are very average and pretty beat up/lived in and oddly no hand soap to wash our hands?!

I rate this a 10 but has to say one incident where the bathroom light was tuned off and switch did not work but they sdress that promptly... I think for improvement, offer free breakfast 😊

Hilton is on the less crowded north side of Pier 60. The Goldilocks-temperature pool and poolside are very clean and nice with free towel use. The blackened grouper sandwich from the menu of Coaster's Lounge and poolside was excellent, even the tartar sauce was very good. We had no problems with the room, slept well and had daily room service. The fixed-location beach lounge chair rentals are a little ridiculous at $28 a piece. Especially if they get the same chair rented twice, by renting it again if people leave the beach for the day. I noticed some entertainment for children like nightly movies by the pool, but did not take part.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Clearwater Beach, and while the staff was amazing, our overall experience was underwhelming. Let’s start with the positives: the hotel staff, especially Twinkle at the front desk and the other ladies there, were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Every interaction with them was pleasant. The same goes for the restaurant and bar staff—they were always attentive and welcoming. The beach itself was also a highlight: it’s expansive, with beautiful powdery white sand and plenty of space. You can rent chairs and umbrellas, though it’s pricey, so bringing your own is a good alternative. Location is a major advantage of this hotel—situated in the heart of Clearwater Beach, you can easily walk to numerous nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. However, the resort fee leaves much to be desired; while it includes a photo session (with the first photo free and the rest available for purchase at high prices), it does not cover beach essentials like chairs and umbrellas, which feels like a missed opportunity considering the high costs already associated with the stay. Now, onto the negatives, which unfortunately overshadowed our stay. The biggest issue was the loss of my compact camera, valued at $600, which I accidentally left at the ping-pong table on the first night. Despite being within the hotel property and covered by CCTV, the camera was gone when I returned first thing the next morning. I immediately reported it to the front desk and the recreation area staff, but the follow-up was deeply disappointing. Although the front desk staff tried to assist, the security team failed to communicate or take action—I had to go back every morning for updates, yet nothing was done. I even provided them with the exact time I left the camera, captured in a video, hoping this would prompt a thorough review of the footage. Unfortunately, it felt like they never truly checked, leaving me with no answers. This was a significant letdown; at a Hilton, especially one with higher rates, you expect a more reliable lost and found process, or at the very least, an attempt to address the issue. Instead, I left the hotel without my camera and without any clear response from the staff, which really soured our entire experience. Additionally, the hotel itself doesn’t live up to the typical Hilton 4-star standard. The property is quite old and outdated, with worn carpets and rooms that were smaller than expected. Upon entering our room, there was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke, likely from an adjacent room, and though I reported it, the smell persisted. The amenities covered by the resort fee also felt lacking, mostly consisting of services that many guests likely wouldn’t use, making the fee feel unnecessary and unjustified. Stayed at the Hilton Clearwater over Labor Day weekend, I would like to start off with the pros: this is a great location, lots to do around the hotel all within walking distance. The beach itself was nice, sand clean and white, water was not rough, valet and checkin friendly. Now for the cons: valet parking for hotel guests $29 a day, for non hotel guests they offered parking for the beach for the day for $20 a day, the parking fee was not included in the daily resort fee of $35 a day, the pool was very small, and you were not allowed to bring anything from the outside so no bottles of water. They all had to be purchased inside the pool area. There was also a charge for the chairs and umbrellas on the beach... for two chairs and umbrella for the day was $74... more if you wanted a daybed or cabana (which is understandable, I have always had to pay for either of those.) Lastly the room itself was average, not super clean, the hot water temp could be increased, although I do not like scalding hot showers the temp was just luke warm, the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable, and the fan on the balcony was really loud when sitting out on the balcony. Overall just a subpar rating for a Hotel line that is so well known.

The hotel is rindown for the prices they charge. Our shower had mold in it.
