Mercure Alba Iulia
"It would have been a 4 star review if... The hotel is new, just opened, so it looks very good, the rooms are interesting designed, I stayed in a 2 room apartment with a very large terrace from which you could see the Alba Carolina fortress. It is a 10 minute walk from the fortress and about the same from the train station and the Penny supermarket. The area where the hotel it is located it is very quiet, wich it is a plus. The breakfast is good and tasty, except for the juices, which are tasting like horrible chemicals. But this was not the problem that bothered me, but the fact that, although it seems that they used quality things in electronics, in plumbing, they skimped on what matters most, namely sound insulation! Even though the apartment door is very well insulated from the hallway, the wall between the apartment I stayed in and the apartment next door is made of plasterboard!!! I have never seen anything like this before. Not only could I hear everything the people next door were saying, but the wall would shake when the people next door closed the apartment door... so, I'm sorry, I can't give more than 3 stars for something like that, and it's a real shame, because it could have been a superb hotel..."
Hotel Transilvania
"Stayed for 1 night, room was ok but carpet was extremely stained. Shelf space in bathroom was even tight for one person. Did not choose to have breakfast as presentation did not look appealing. I was surprised to learn that the hotel had no parking. Public car parking is available in front of hotel. Could not see the 4 star rating."

"Nice little boutique hotel. The location is great, only 5-10 minutes to the fortress/town center. Free parking in front of the hotel. The room was decent size, clean, well furnished. Breakfast was standard. The staff were a little strange though. The room was ready, we saw it thru the open door, but they insisted for us to check in after 2 pm."

"Easy to find, hosts are very friendly - great location if you’re coming by car or taxi. The room was spacious, quiet, and the AC worked fine as well. Recommend staying here."
Mercure Sibiu Arsenal
"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Sibiu! The location is perfect—right next to a beautiful park, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself is spotless, with impeccable cleanliness in both the rooms and common areas. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. I truly appreciated their warm hospitality. The indoor pool was a fantastic bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. The on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations, serving delicious food with a great variety of dishes. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, my experience was exceptional, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sibiu. I will definitely be returning!"
Hilton Sibiu
"This review is for the spa only, we didn't stay at the hotel but rather bought a day pass to use the spa. Online the hours are posted as 2 - 9 PM, over the phone 10 - 9 PM. Over the phone we were told we could book services after 1:30 PM. When we got there I was given a menu of services to choose from. I started looking at facials and the lady said there are no facials available. I started looking at massages and she said only one type is available (head, shoulders). Why didn't they say anything on the phone about not being able to provide service? Why even hand me the menu? Two rooms were out of service (infrared and steam room). The women's bathroom didn't have any toilet paper. We were told there were no more towels (they are in the laundry) and that in 10 minutes they will bring us some. They brought a robe as a towel substitute? Ummm OK. There is a sign on the changing room door that says "let us know if you are in need of personal items" so I asked for lotion. No lotion was available. At no point did the lady smile or apologize for lacking any of the items. I was understanding at first but as the afternoon went on, I felt frustrated with the cost of the day while not providing the promised service. Life happens but also they should have charged us half off. That was a ridiculous amount of money for what this spa had to offer."
Salis Hotel & Medical Spa
"Room was a good size for the price, restaurant food was great and came out very fast, contrary to some of the reviews on here. Price of beer was nearly as cheap as water which was beneficial seeing as there is not much else to do in the evenings. Ladies behind the desk are sarcastically hilarious, definitely tickled me being a Brit but I can imagine how it would rub people up the wrong way. Laundry service is cheap, although it doesn't go back to your room and you have to ask for it from behind the desk (it could sit there for a few days). On the subject of sitting for a few days, this was the condition of my un-cleaned room towards the end of my stay. After the first day of the room not being cleaned, I asked at the front desk to have it cleaned everyday, and to place my laundry in my room once done. Even though they agreed to do as requested, that was the last time my room was cleaned, and again asked them the second time it was uncleaned and still no one came to clean the room or change the towels. Disappointing on this level. The gym was a room with a treadmill, exercise bike, 2 dumbells and a broken multi-gym (which is now fixed - you're welcome). Half the equipment was out of order and it is definitely nothing like the pictures on google. At least the floor in the room is big enough to do some exercises in. If you're looking for a hotel to stay near to Turda, this is a decent place to get your head down for the night "
